I just got my steamer today and couldn't wait to use it. I was interested to see the user manual because a few reviews said it was hard to understand, and it didn't make sense and that the recipe book wasn't useful for times and recipes. Based on my past experience with purchasing Buydeem products, I wasn't worried because every item I have received my orders from them, they came well packaged, with a very understandable manuals. Plus I know that all of the products I have from them are not only functional but beautiful too. This was no different. The steamer was packaged very well, it is so pretty in the mint green shade, and matches my kitchen. I reviewed the user manual and from what I read, I found it very easy to follow the set up instructions for 1st time use. As well as the boil point test. I also washed the other pieces to it before steaming my acorn squash. I used the steam time suggested for pumpkins and it turned out perfectly. Better then baking it. It took way less time to steam then to get it right baking it. Its also a perfect size and won't overtake your counter space. Also clean up was easy, I removed lid, wiped it down. Set it aside, removed the food, and I let the steamer base cool down. Unplugged the cord from the wall and base. Dumped water in the sick and turned the base upside down on a kitchen towel propped up to dry. That was it. Basically no mess. I didn't buy the steamer in hopes of a great recipe book, but because I know Buydeem sells, beautiful, functional, quality products. And if you need inspiration for recipes to make, because the ones in the manual are not your thing. Go visit Pintrest or Instagram for recipe, no shortage there. I am excited to try Artichokes, yogurt,, and more tasty veggie dishes. I also read you can make those tasty sweet steamed buns that you order at Asian restaurants. You can also cook meat in it, so I cant wait to find some great recipes! Overall great streamer, easy to navigate and steams very well. And pretty to look at!

My wife love this streamer and would use it almost daily just as much as our air fryer. For sure it is our best streamer after like 3 other brand steamer we got and tried. Highly recommend give it a try. It does seem to be a bit expensive but we'll worth the money as it is well built and in high quality and simple to use. We use it to cook corns, fish, bags, and many Asian and Chinese food that needs steaming. You will not need to refill the water as it has enough for a few hours of cooking and ease of refills. Clean is very easy too. We are however afraid to use it in our dishwasher and just hand wash fine.

My initial impression of this steamer is quite positive. Well packaged upon arrival, this steamer appeared sturdy, well crafted, even attractive. I was nonetheless surprised that the capacity of the steamer was a bit smaller than I expected. To better depict its capacity, the steamer’s website could have a photo of a scalable object (such as a ruler, tennis ball, or soda can) placed inside the steam chamber. For my first and only steam job to date, I purchased three large (+) sweet potatoes to cook. Only two of them fit on the bottom of the steam chamber. It took right at 1 hour to steam these two tubers to mashable tenderness, and they were way better than if they had been oven baked, IMO. Those same potatoes would have taken 1.5 hours at 400 degrees to achieve the same level of doneness. The instructions accompanying this unit were somewhat difficult to understand. Example: There is a ceramic plate that comes with this unit. The instructions were ambiguous about when and how or if this plate should be used. I tend to attribute this ambiguity to the country of manufacture, but the fault could be my lifelong unfamiliarity with kitchen stuff. In summary, I am happy with this cooker and delighted with the two potatoes I have steamed to gastronomic perfection.

Very easy to use, you just set the timer and this thing will just steam it up. I would 100% recommend getting one of this if you dont wanna monitor the pot if you are steaming something (buns, fish, etc).

This is an excellent steamer. It is elegant and easy to use, and I love it!

I do a lot of steaming, not for good health but for my dim sum and taro cakes. I find this steamer is very functional for its dedicated purpose. The stainless steel cover is of good quality and easy to clean. The heat up is fast so I can ignore the heat up time and add my dim sum right at the beginning. The water level is clearly visible and adding water is easy for cooking that require long steaming time (e.g. my taro cake). It is comparatively pricy for steamers of same dedicated function. Some multi-functional steamer, baker, etc are cheaper as well. Another drawback is its odd internal size of 7"x11". It is difficult to find suitable size utensils to fit this steamer. Most of my existing plates are around 8" and don't fit inside. The supplied ceramic plate is not available as replacement part from BUYDEEM. So once you break it, you are out of luck to find a replacement. However, even with its drawbacks, I still enjoy using it.

I’m honestly shocked by the condition of the steamer I received. The outer box looked fine, but the unit inside was clearly used, with visible dirt on the main body. Even worse, the power cord was severely damaged and looked burned, which is a serious electrical safety hazard. There is no scenario where a product like this should ever be sent out as “new.” I didn’t even attempt to plug it in. This is an immediate return. Very disappointed, and I’m including photos so others can see exactly what arrived. -------------- Updated Review – Excellent Customer Service and a Great Product in the End I’m updating my original review after the company reached out and made a genuine effort to make things right. My initial unit arrived in unacceptable condition (appeared used and had a damaged cord), which understandably raised safety concerns and led me to leave an honest 1-star review. After seeing that review, the company contacted me directly and offered to send a replacement to demonstrate the quality they stand behind. There was a hiccup with the first replacement delivery being sent to the wrong address, but after I reached out again, they immediately shipped a second replacement and even had the delivery person contact us directly to ensure it was received properly. That level of follow-through really stood out. The steamer I received this time is clearly brand new, clean, and works perfectly. The countdown timer feature is fantastic — being able to set it so breakfast is ready right when you wake up is honestly a game changer for our mornings. While the initial experience was disappointing, I really appreciate the effort the company put into correcting the issue and reclaiming their reputation. Mistakes happen, but how a company responds matters, and in this case, they handled it well. I’m glad I gave it another chance.
