Overall, decent ear defenders. I use them both for sensory reduction and have used them for shooting twice (much better than the standard issue in terms of comfort, on par with noise reduction). Pros: - Seal nicely and still provide adequte noise reduction even if hair gets in the way - Can be ajusted as needed, will fit most heads - Are relatively low profile, so can be worn under a hoodie - so if like in my case - you wear them in public for sensory purposes (compared to other brands) - The small padded band, while small significantly increases comfort - While others have stated that they can become uncomfortable with time, this is like 3 hours continuous use - Foam inserts can be removed when wiping down the ear defenders Cons: - They have held up so far, while they don't feel of overly high quality, they don't feel (e.g. like the plastic won't break easily) - For thoes using for sensory purposes, these won't pass as headphones, but neither will any others on the market (other than the Alpine's maybe). But then again, no one on the street is paying more attention than a glance. - The padded band can move from side to side when putting on, so just make sure that is is comfy so it doesn't irritate you in any way

My son has autism level 2 and once starting college struggled with the collective noise generated from a large place of learning where there is a lot of movement and chatter (mainly in break periods). These defenders are good quality with a wide fit that closes comfortably over ears. The noise was reduced to a low hum which my son stated enabled him to cope better.

My Vanderfields are my favourite pair of over- ear ear defenders, however the sound reduction could be better. They’re comfortable to wear for long periods of time, especially with short breaks to allow some ventilation. Overall effective, however I do sometimes pair them with in- ear ear defenders designed for shooting to maximise sound dampening. The range of colours is nice and allows more autonomy for the wearer as lots of ear defenders come in only red or black. I also like that they don’t stick out at the sides, however they can punch long hair when taken off, particularly if it isn’t tied back.

Working perfectly for autistic and learning disabled adult. Mutes overwhelming sounds but doesn't block noise completely which is key when he is out and about, crossing roads. They walk the line between looking like ear defenders while not being too obvious. From a distance, these could be normal over ear headphones which is great! He needed help to open them at first, but has now got them fitted and is using daily. Great price for the quality.

On the plus side these ear defenders work well for blocking screeching on parts of London Underground where the wheels scrape against the track, such as Northern line between Camden and Euston and Central line near Stratford. They also allow you to hear natural conversation while blocking out higher or lower range noises. On the minus side they squeeze the head and are uncomfortable after a few minutes. For short-term use they are fine. I tested these defenders in various scenarios: Pneumatic drill - I stood three feet from a workman in the street using a drill on the pavement - excellent, sounded like the drill was half a mile away. Drum concert - heavy night-club type bass - no effect, didn’t work to keep out bass. London Underground - screeching as train wheels grind the track - good, prevents noise from being ear-piercing. Washing up chinaware in the sink - plates and cutlery banging and crashing - good, they prevent the noise from being painful. You must ensure the noise blockers fit right around the sides of your face. The slightest mis-fit due to the mufflers not being positioned properly, and they basically don’t work. E.g. if you wear a woolly hat that gets in the way of the defenders, they won’t work. These are not noise cancellers but noise blockers. There is no cancelling effect but don't let that put you off. I would recommend these.

Very good values ear mufflers, cut out all the background noise from my leaf blower . Good strong plastic moulding and sturdy construction. A little on the tight side , so as instructions I opened up the compact headphones and stretched over a box for a few hours to stretch out the firm overhead springy metal curved bar , to help easing on and releasing the pressure on the ears . Good value and well made .

Fit was very tight. I stretched them over a tin overnight which helped a little. The noise protection was OK but not as good as I had hoped. Value for money not too bad.

Great ear defenders comfortable

Very light and comfortable to wear. Initially thought by seeing the package, the device may be small. On opening the box I realized the device is nicely designed and foldable to maximum extent compactable. Ear cups are also soft and not pressurize the ear. Overall I'm happy in getting this ear defenders.

Ho acquistato queste cuffie antirumore con la speranza di trovare un po' di pace e tranquillità in casa, soprattutto ora che le scuole sono chiuse e i vicini rumorosi con bambini urlanti dalle 7 del mattino sembrano non avere tregua. Posso dire con sicurezza che queste cuffie hanno superato le mie aspettative. Attenuazione del Rumore Le cuffie sono eccezionali nel ridurre i rumori forti. Appena le indosso, il suono dei bambini che urlano e il trambusto generale si attenuano notevolmente, permettendomi di concentrarmi meglio e di rilassarmi. Non eliminano completamente il rumore, ma lo riducono a un livello molto più tollerabile, rendendo la mia giornata molto più piacevole. Comfort Un altro aspetto che mi ha colpito positivamente è il comfort delle cuffie. Sono ben imbottite e si adattano perfettamente alla testa, senza stringere troppo. Posso indossarle per diverse ore senza provare fastidio o disagio. Questo è particolarmente importante quando le uso per lunghi periodi di tempo. Qualità Costruttiva La qualità costruttiva delle cuffie è ottima. Sono robuste e ben realizzate, con materiali di alta qualità che sembrano durare nel tempo. Le regolazioni sono facili da fare e le cuffie rimangono salde in posizione una volta sistemate. Utilità Queste cuffie antirumore non sono solo utili per il lavoro, ma si sono rivelate un vero toccasana per la mia salute mentale in un ambiente domestico rumoroso. Posso finalmente leggere, lavorare o semplicemente rilassarmi senza essere costantemente disturbata dai rumori esterni. Conclusioni In conclusione, queste cuffie antirumore sono un prodotto eccellente per chiunque cerchi di ridurre i rumori fastidiosi nella propria vita quotidiana. Sono comode, efficaci e ben costruite. Le consiglio vivamente a chiunque abbia bisogno di un po' di tranquillità, soprattutto in situazioni di vicinato rumoroso. Non potrei essere più soddisfatta del mio acquisto!

Perfect fit, very low noise, excellent!

Got these for various members of my family for when we're using power tools, vacuums, blenders etc. Kids enjoy wearing them. I use them when operating the snow thrower. They work great, are comfortable and block sound just the right amount. Definitely stylish too which is a big plus.
