Having been a user of Japanese electronics for years, I was skeptical of the potential for this unit to be as good as those units. However, the cost of the Japanese brands with comparable features was more than I could justify. Doing the research on the S8 on You Tube, most of what I saw and read was positive. I took the chance and ordered. The unit exceeded most of my expectations. The unit was well packaged, with everything included for a basic install. I was replacing the OEM radio on my '02 SAAB 9-5, so this was not a basic installation. I ordered the cameras and steering wheel interface as well. This installation IS NOT for the amateur or faint of heart as the SAAB does not have a true Double DIN opening. The touch screen is bright and clear. The screen is visible from all angles and responds well to touch. The CarPlay, Bluetooth and other wireless functions are flawless. Even setting up the steering wheel controls was a simple matter once I got the interface set up correctly. I wanted the unit with physical buttons for basic functions, the buttons have a good tactile feel and exude quality not usually found in a Chinese made product. Even the instructions were clear and not written in "Chinglish", which was a refreshing change of pace. There are plenty of Online tutorials to help you with your installation. I have not needed the customer support, but most people claim that this is also above par as companies go. I did have to design and 3D print a custom bezel filler plate because of the "Odd" size of the OEM SAAB radio. Another thing that was necessary was a matching device to change the line level outputs to prevent over driving the factory Harman-Kardon Amplifier.

So far it has been installed for a week and only issue is the backlighting on the buttons doesn’t stay on the selected color once you turn the unit off and back on but other than that, I haven’t had any real issues. I have noticed a little led wave flicker on certain apps when brightness is turned down to the lowest setting but very minimal. Very easy to install and user interface is pretty cool. Radio picked up my Bluetooth obd reader so full function of torque app. Going to buy the tpms add on since my car doesn’t come with one and will review on a later date.

I bought this radio after being severely disappointed in the equivalent radio from pioneer. This was a super easy install and set up. It boots right to apple carplay(as long as you don’t disconnect the battery). I didn’t even have to run a microphone. It had one built in that works great(I was skeptical at first but it is good). Over all the build quality of the radio is good. Screen resolution is on point and the UI is easy to work. No complaints from me besides connecting the Bluetooth for CarPlay is slightly confusing since there’s two Bluetooth options, but I figured it out.

I am not an audiophile, but this delivered the sound quality I expected in other review.Wireless Apple CarPlay:Pairing my phone was seamless, and I love the convenience of not needing a physical cable. The touch responsiveness on the S8 MS screen is excellent, and navigating through apps feels intuitive. Whether I’m using Maps, Spotify, or responding to messages, the wireless CarPlay functionality works flawlessly.Bluetooth Calls:the ATOTO S8 MS falls short when it comes to Bluetooth calls. The call quality is disappointing. Conversations sound muffled, and there’s noticeable distortion. Even adjusting the volume or tweaking settings didn’t significantly improve the situation. Unfortunately, there’s no way to enhance call quality with an external microphone. I have search all the reddit forums to see how disable the internal mic on the unit and it's not possible.
