Great fountain at a great price! (Updated with Support!)
We had a cheap fountain we picked up at a store and were overall not happy with it. So when it died less than a year later, we looked for a solid replacement. This one looked nice and we snagged it, and after we were sure our cats were using it, got a 2nd one to replace an old style upside down water bowl. I've now had both for over a month. Been very happy with it. Pros: - All metal design is both durable, easy to clean, and doesn't collect pet hair and build up like our old plastic one did. - Fountain/pump output is customizable. You can remove the fountain and let it just bubble up, or you can adjust the fountain a bit by raising or lowering how far it is in the device to adjust how the water comes out. - Quiet. Once the motor is submerged, you can't hear the motor, and all you'll hear is a gentile water flow. If you find that calming, great. If not, you can adjust the top fountain spout a bit and change the noise level a bit depending on where the spout of water hits. I'm noise sensitive when I sleep, and one of these is just 6 feet away from my head, and I've gotten it quiet enough I don't notice the water flow. - Pleasant noise - IF you like the sound of flowing water like on a fountain or creek, then the default noise is very reminiscent of a bubbling creak or gentile fountain. You can minimize this if you want, or if you enjoy it, there's no need and you can just let it flow and enjoy the peaceful sounds. - Convenient window to make it easy to see where the water level is. - Smart filter to keep hair out of the motor as well as to filter the water. The filter, even if not used, goes though a cage that should help also keep hair out of the motor. Replacements are easy to install for both the motor filter, and the water charcoal filter. - Top drinking area is great, raised for healthy drinking angles, and overflows into the container, allowing you to fill the device quickly if you want with little risk of spilling, as overflow over the top still goes into the reservoir. - USB powered motor gives you some extra flexability in where you can plug this in. The adapter works fine, but with a proliferation of USB plugs in homes, you may not need the adapter. - The easy to view level window is nice, and the light makes it easy to see. Cons (Some of these are quite personal to be fair): - I wish the cable for the motor was handled a bit better. Because it's mostly loose, you have to make sure it's in the right spot when you put the top on or else it won't sit in the reservoir properly. Not a major issue, but having a clip on the back to guide it though would solve this easily. - Somewhat related, I wish the cable was shorter with an extension adapter instead of just a long cable. While not a huge problem, it means unplugging the fountain could be problematic if you run the cable behind something to hide it and thus have to move furnature or rerun the wire every time you want to unplug it and clean the top. - Related to the above complaint, the ability to turn off the fountain without unplugging it would be appreciated. If I just want to check something under the fountain, or turn it off for a moment, I can't. - Semi-related to the above, I would love to be able to turn off the light for the fill level. It's not a major issue, but I'm very light sensitive and one fountain is in my bedroom, and the blue light bothers me sometimes. - Fountain motor looks permanently attached to the top. This means if I want to clean the top, I have to deal with the motor and unplug the device. Not a major issue, particularly because it's not like getting the motor wet is a problem while cleaning, but it is kinda annoying. Now it's possible there is a way to detach it, and I just haven't figured it out yet, but that means it's not easy or obvious. So, overall, I have lots of positive comments on this, and very few negative ones. And most of my negitive ones are very nitpicky to me, and may not be issues at all for some people. Is this the best fountain out there? I can't say that, as I haven't used many. But is this a good high quality fountain? Absolutely. I own 2, and if we needed a 3rd, I'd not hesitate to get a 3rd. Update: Almost immediately after I posted this, I went to clean one of the fountains, and it stopped working. It was lighting up, but not pumping. After reaching out to the company, they asked me to clean the pump first and sent me a great video on how to clean the pump. I didn't expect it to help as the filters had done their job of keeping out hair, but sure enough with less than 2 minutes of cleaning work (it's super simple to clean, and the motor is a magnetic propeller, so you can remove it and clean all around the propeller), the pump was back to full force. I also got the response less than 24 hours after I sent the request for help, so they were quick to help and provided a very useful walk though. So, if you find you have an issue where the pump stops, particularly if the light still does, clean out the motor, and you should be back in business.

Does what it should, but pet fountains are a flawed concept and really unsanitary.
Updated review: I can't knock off stars, because technically the fountain works as it's supposed to. But I would urge people to reconsider any kind of pet fountain -- the concept is flawed, because there are so many tiny spaces where biofilm can, will, and does, form. Mold and bacteria love little nooks and crannies, just as much as your cat may enjoy the fountain too. This is happening despite taking the WHOLE thing apart EVERY OTHER DAY, and washing every single piece separately, including the motor with the snap-off piece. Even with every-other-day cleaning there was always a slimy feel on certain parts. Biofilm forms fast and there is absolutely no way to reach every single tiny space. If you notice black little globs, that's biofilm. I don't want my cats drinking water that has been running through this muck. We stopped using it completely. One of my cats actually drinks more water now after we switched back to a bowl. Some cats enjoy running water but others prefer to drink in a quiet space so they can keep listening to their environment, just like they do when they eat. It's not completely silent. You love your cats so please don't subject them to water running through mold and bacteria. There is just absolutely no way to keep any fountain 100% clean, and lord knows I tried with taking the whole thing apart. Stick to a bowl for the most sanitary option. Original review: This is a really good fountain but it does require a lot of time and devotion to keep properly clean, so that your cats can have access to the cleanest water possible. Cat fountains are excellent and cats love running water since they naturally avoid stagnant water (which might carry bacteria) in the wild. Good fountain yes, it just has to be kept very clean. The best cleaning schedule I've found so far is: - replace filter once a week - replace foam ring once a week - deep clean once a week - rinse and refill every two or three days I used to fill it to maximum once a week, but I looked at the water at the end of the week, and there was hair and other debris at the bottom. Dump it and put in new water every couple days so your kitties don't have to drink water with little bits in it. The capacity is more than enough if replacing the water often. The water light is pretty bright and it looks really nice at night. I hope it's attractive to my cats too, but the jury is out on that one. Regarding the most important piece, the pump, it seems well built as far as I can tell. There have never been any issues with it getting clogged and it's been running fine every day since March. I will update if it ever kicks the bucket. Last thing, and very importantly, the one thing I hate about this fountain. Please be very careful when you clean the lid. It's very thin metal, and the holes in it were punched out, which means there is a VERY sharp edge where the holes are. I've sliced myself good on it three times now. To the company... if you could PLEASE find a way to smooth those edges, you need to. Cuts like a mandoline!

Nice fountain
Nice fountain. It is very quiet, however the water coming down from the fountain is a little loud.

Enshittified
The first of these that I bought has worked fantastically since I got it. The filters catch fur and dust, the body is easily clean able, and filters are easy to replace monthly. I recently bought two more, only to discover to my horror that they've redesigned it without changing the model number. In my order of two of the same product, I received one of the old style and one of the new style. Notable changes: * The manual now mentions changing the water every 1-2 weeks, because "304 stainless steel can rust when exposed to wet organic matter for long periods of time". Firstly - what kind of product do you think you're designing?? Second, the previous version has no such warning, and while I don't know what kind of steel they used for it, I've had it running continuously for months on end, with monthly filter changes, with no sign of rust. * The carbon filter, instead of being a fibrous package with the filter materials inside, is now some massive plastic component containing those same filter materials. Clearly designed to be harder to manufacture third-party, its compartment is incompatible with the filters used in the older style. * The hole between the tray on top and the reservoir below, where previously it was flush with the tray, now has some nubbin that protrudes above the tray surface. I can't say I understand the point of this, and while it may be a neutral change, I can see it potentially bothering a drinking cat, depending on how they use the fountain. The bottom line: The original version of this fountain works great and has held up well. The new version might work great, but I am so put off by the capitalistic bait-and-switch of a redesign that uses the same model number, that I don't trust it. I'll be keeping the one in the older style and returning the one in the newer style.

Good quality but owner needs to thoroughly separate and clean
Sleek looking fountain but has cleaning issues. Instructions do not describe how to clean. I made a good effort to separate everything and clean. Then my wife found that it separates even further! Even now, months later, we find parts separate even more revealing moldy areas! That's months of moldy water! I suppose its good that everything is so accessible to clean but if you don't know then what's the point? Noise: Moderate - I can hear it from across the room. As it gets low it gets noisier which alerts you to refilling it. Brightness: The blue LED shines brightly out through the window. I can do a puppet show on the opposite wall. Leaks: None Quality: Sturdy and holding up well Water Flow: Strong

Motor Stopped Working After Six Months
When it was working it was really nice. Not too loud and I appreciated the different type of faucet settings. However, it’s been about six months since purchase (April 30 2025) and the pump/motor has stopped working. The previous few water fills I did you could tell something was wrong with it as it was noisy and would need to be plugged in and unplugged several times to get going. Now it’s plugged in and the light is on but the motor is silent. I do wonder if it stems from when I had to take everything apart because MOLD was growing INSIDE the pump which was unacceptable. Even with that considered, it still did not make noises until several weeks after that deep clean. I’m a single parent on a limited income and this was definitely something I considered as a luxury item — a hey, you did good this month and can get your kitties something nice — and now it’s dead and it’s looking like I won’t be able to afford a replacement this close to Christmas, nevermind having to buy one every 6 months at the rate it lasted. I’m pretty disappointed and feeling defeated over a cat fountain.

Works as expected
Not the easiest thing to clean, but the cat seemed to really like it. I had a problem with the motor stopping and they sent me a new one, but told me that I needed to only purchase their filters. Unfortunately, I think they’re expensive and they told me that I wouldn’t have to change it as often, but I’d rather purchase a lower priced item and change it more frequently.

BEWARE! Company does not follow through
Good size, perhaps as attractive as a big stainless bowl could be. Assembly easy. Parts seem to be of quality. My older fountain was actually quieter than this new one, which was touted as being very quiet in the online description. I could not find replacement filters that fit for my old one, hence the order for this one. I ordered replacement filters at the same time as the fountain itself this time. Surprised with the discovery of louder operation, but it is tolerable. Just set up, so no idea regarding reliability yet. Fingers crossed. Cat not as happy with the new fountain, but cats can be a bit careful warming up to something new. Hopefully, he will use this one more as he becomes accustomed to it. AMENDMENT: company contacted me after reading the above review, offering FULL REFUND without my asking for it. Was impressed, explained problem, and said I would need to get another fountain due to operation noise. Cat still not using it. FULL REFUND never received as company promised! Why did they offer if they were not going to follow through? Need FULL REFUND as promised for the replacement filters as well since the fountain is not used, no need for filters purchased.
