I use these inexpensive sets for my beginner watercolor classes. Overall the quality is good for the price. Once students learn to use and care for their tools properly they may advance to higher quality. But these definitely serve their purpose and are fairly consistent quality.

The brushes absorb lots of water, as they should, and retain their tips while also allowing for soft washes. Definitely worth the price

Loved these. They worked well for me

I like painting with these. I take them to classes and when painting on my journal. The only problem is that the cats tongue tip is bent in shipping. I am trying to fix it. These are really good for multiple uses

I'm always on the lookout for new watercolor brushes and I loved the variety that this set had. They're a decent size and there was no damage to the package I've received. They definitely have to be run under water prior to first use to remove the starchy-coating that holds their shape upon delivery. They hold water pretty ok given the price point of this set. I haven't had any issues with loose brush hairs so far. If you need a set of variety brushes, spring for this one.

The metal is not clamped to the brush well and wobbles. Also noticed a fair amount of shedding.
