Good little sander
Saw this on YouTube and seemed to be a better deal than the HF one as this has a 5 inch sander and the HF one doesn't. It works great for beveling knives.

Hi, I'm Bob from Maryland,
My old Delta 1 inch X 30 inch combo belt, disc sander died, so I bought one of these Vevor sanders as it is just like my Delta machine. The Vevor sander came with a 80 grit belt installed and that was too coarse for the project I'm working on so I needed to change out the belt to a 120 grit belt. I'm 71 years old and a Stroke survivor and my Left hand don't work real great but I have never had a problem changing belts on my delta sander. The 80 grit belt was hard to get off as it seems the Tension adjuster doesn't really loosen the belt as it should. When I went to install my 120 grit belt, it was almost impossible and I had to end up finding a screwdriver to pry the new belt on a brand new machine that had never been plugged in and used yet. Well, after I finally got my 120 grit belt on there, I plugged the sander in and started sanding my wooden Tulips and the new 120 grit broke after 5 minutes of runtime. All because I had to use a screwdriver to get the belt on because the adjuster doesn't work as it should. I wasted an hour fighting that thing to change those belts and when the belt broke after 5 minutes I called it quits for the day as it was eight O'clock at night and I should have had three or four dozen tulips sanded and ready to paint by then. I'm not happy with this sander, you have to remove three screws, remove a little plate under the belt table and loosen a setscrew on the top belt protector then loosen the belt just to switch belts. Life is too short, and at my age you shouldn't have to do back flips or handstands to change a little 1 inch belt. I'm not gonna let this thing beat me, as it looks to be a half decent machine there has to be a better way to change the belt.Hi,this is Bob Dixon again .I got my Vevor 1 X 30 inch sander on May 03 2024 and had trouble changing the belt .I've been limping, getting by with this sander since I got it.Yesterday, June 21 2024 I needed to use it for a few minutes and it wouldn't run!I guess I'm cursed or something I tried several power outlets and no dice!I need to return this thing but didn't save the box it came in.I'm willing to try another one and return the bad one in that box if we can make it happen.I have not abused this sander and I had the old Delta sander for over 30 years I know how to take care of my tools and make them last.Life is too short to mess with bad tools. Please let me know what we can do about this situation .Above, you'll see some of what I'm making with a Scroll Saw and one inch sander using one handbecause I'm a stroke survivor since 2013 !ThanksBob Dixonin MarylandHithis is Bob from Maryland again.I'm still waiting to hear a response from the Vevor people.I bought my sander on April 24 2024 from amazon for $79.99 and it arrived in May.my sander stopped running in June 2024.The items You see in my photo's above were created using my own hands. My new vevor sander didn't last a month before it stopped running .All of the tulips in my photos were created using the Delta 30 year old 1x30 inch belt sander.I still need a sander that runs.my email is [email protected] vevor have customer service?Bob From Maryland.

Works well for me
The sander I like. Would be nice if it were variable speed, but for the price it's not bad. It's relatively quiet. That's important for me since I live in an apt. Hope it works for a long time. For the money I think it's worth it. Performance is satisfactory. Gets the job done. Easy to use. The sanding belt is a little difficult to change but most of the time I'm in no hurry. It's compact enough. Overall I'm happy with the product.

Awesome for its size
This thing is fantastic. For its small size it gets the job done and then some. I've had this thing for about a year and its still going strong.

Sander worked for less than 10 min, refused to turn on a few days later
As I said in the description, the sander was used for less than 10 minutes (sanding the leather edges of a wallet, so ZERO stress on the machine), and that is it. Put it away for a few days and the thing won't turn on.My Harbor Freight sander of a similar design worked for dozens of hours over the course of many years, and cost much less - go with that route, if you're close to one of their stores.

Does not work.
I used this only once. When I attempted to use it again it will not power up. Checked power plug. No problem. Very disappointed in this product. It should be replaced at no cost to me!!
