Needed a portable casting rod, and this one fits the bill. It's a three-piece rod that's easy to pack and assemble. Despite being lightweight, it's quite sturdy and sensitive. I've used it for bass fishing, and it's performed great. Great value for the price.

This rod is great quality. The three pieces is fine and not an issue at all. I can bomb small lures with this. I caught a 3.6lbs bass the first day and it held up well.The only thing I don’t like and it may be a fatal flaw for me is the handle length. It is really short. I know some people like that but it is annoying for me. It is too short for how I hold the rod.But if you like that, this is really a good option.

I caught a 3.05 lb & 2.6 lb Bass in a little over an hour in heavy cover using the 3 piece rod. I had this bad idea to make a BFS setup and then use it for Finesse Frogging setup with 8 pound KastKing braid. This Rod let me cast it a long ways, but also accurately. It has a great amount of back bone and sensitivity. It was able to horse both fish out of heavy cover and flip them up and over brush. That’s pretty demanding for a light rated 3 piece which speaks to its durability. I have zero complaints about its action and it has proven extremely versatile. It is also very light so I felt zero fatigue after an hour.I’ve bought a lot of rods over the years and a fair number of BFS rods recently and this is probably my favorite so far.

Was so impressed with the sleek quality and performance of this rod. It’s super light and perfectly balanced with a 2000 series reel. Was comparable if not better then my other “name brand” panfish rod that cost 3 times more. Has a really good taper action at the top so it doesn’t rip the mouths of crappies. Was able to cast 1/32oz jig a mile!! The only con was wish they made 1-piece option in the future.

This bait caster rod is super light but still has great hook setting power. The quality is comparable to rods costing at least twice as much. I paired it with my KastKing Kestrel Elite Baitcasting Fishing Reel with the Magnesium Frame for one hard to beat combo! Casting super light lures with accuracy is much easier with this KastKing combination. KastKing continues to turn out high quality fishing equipment at a easily affordable price. I highly recommend this rod!

the blank broke in the reel seat after a few small catfish. really wanted to like this rod. had very good ergonomics and is very attractive design/finish. It does have a strong backbone though for being UL. I just think the reel seat has a bad design or i got a bad rod.

6'9" L casting model paired with a shimano curado bfs reel is an excellent set up. able the throw 1/8oz (3.5g) lures nicely, but have found that 3/16oz (5g) is the sweet spot. easily casts 30-40 yards after you get your reel dialed in. This rod's action is perfect for treble hook lures such as tiny cranks, jerkbaits and walking/ popping topwaters, but it is just fast enough to set light wire single hooks such as micro jigs and tiny texas rigs.
