The design is beautiful without calling attention to itself. It fits right in to my bookshelf collection. It’s heavy enough and tall enough to support the weight of any book(s). It has five rubber ribbed pads underneath to protect the wood surface and prevent sliding. Set it down on the shelf and it has a satisfying, heavy “thunk”. I was expecting to like it. I’m buying a few more of these rather than an assortment of antiques - these are a nice addition to my new bookcase.

Beautiful Book ends. Nice and heavy and sturdy. I love them. I'm going to use them and I already know where and it wasn't where I thought. Tonight I'm going to get my books ready where I decided to use them.

First off, they are a heavy weight. Some of the bookends say heavy and they are not heavy enough to hold my books. The size is great and they work well to hold up my books. I wish they were a little less rustic and more finished and refined on the finish. The price is a bit steep but I was having troubles fine a good heavy bookend, I am happy with the choice and the theme.

I love the tree of life things. These are thick and heavy enough to hold my substantial collection of photo books and these bookends are beautiful and the perfect size for large books.
