This works well. I can easily take the topper on and off alone. I have a 16.5' ceiling and it has enough rope.

Great product, easy to use, takes a bit of work to install, instructions could be better, dont cut ropes till completely satisfied with operation including lowering to ground. Great for storing top in garage out of the way.

Took about 3-4 hours to install. It took longest to find the studs and put the boards up. So if you have exposed beams should go a lot quicker for you!It doesn’t come with the wood.works great and it’s nice that we can have it high enough to not walk into also. Our teenage daughter was able to lift it on her own.

Install requires that you go get yourself some lumber. I would also recommend that you have a good drill in order to get the 4" lag bolts into the studs. Other than that, I did this project in about 4 hours with the help of my 13 yr old son. Directions are okay. I would also recommend that you get a rope tie of some sort to tie up the excess line.

Impressed how easy it was to install and use. Held the top up for 6 months without fail. Use a slipknot instead of the knot in the diagram, way easier.

Ok, so I always read reviews to get an idea of a product. This hanging unit looked like exactly what I needed, and it over-delivered! If you can drill straight and put up a shelf you can do this. Recommend a second set of hands but I hung mine alone and works great! Once you have a location for your hard top, just measure and follow the instructions. The suspension unit is holding up a fair amount of weight once your roof is elevated, so a few extra lag bolts are always a good thing and make sure you are into the studs. I now spend 10 minutes hoisting or lowering my roof without any assistance, couldn’t be happier!

Works as described. I had to get 2x4 -3 of them as installation is dependent on your rafters direction. 4 star only because I thought the brace that you connect as shown in picture is not design you get. Thought the back connection would connect as one peace by window but is just two straps on each side.
