A practical, relevant and useful book to business practitioners
This is seriously good book on the subject of digital transformation. I would rate it better than either Leading Digital and Digital Disruption for the tools and the ideas that it contains, while I also personally like and appreciate the historical context to the theory that it contains. Don't even think about it, just buy it and read it. And lets hope for the community as a whole that it makes it to a paperback release as the author - a Columbia Business School academic - definitely has something useful to say for the business community.

Very interesting
Easy to read and a text easy to follow. Gives good ideas on, to follow the implementation.

surprisingly useful
This was set as a supplementary text for a MSc module on digital leadership. i found it surprisingly useful (sorry). there are some good strategy models - the platform business model and the customer network model stand out. the section on what is and is not "disruption" is really clear and non-hysterical, which is unusual, in my recent experience. everything is clearly referenced, which is handy. it's that most unusual of "business" books - one that does what it says it's going to do on the cover. great.doesn't get a fifth star because the author repeatedly references his website, where we can find further details on how to use the models he introduces. i couldn't find them. sigh.

Practical tools but disappointing details
Great content overall, and satisfying paper quality. However, I found numerous typos in the 2016 edition, which is disappointing and surprising for a renowned editor.
