Just what I needed !
This water meter works great for me. I drilled a well for lawn irrigation and just be curious of how many gallons I'm using. But now I'm also glad I used this meter because it showed me I had a slow leak in my system. After locating the leak and fixing it, I'm a happy camper.

Very durable and great for rental units
I have been using these submeters for over two years now and continue to work great. The installation was very easy, especially because resemble installing a union fitting.

ABS construction, nice quality meter…
Nice quality ABS construction, the perfect way to keep track of your own water usage. Also would work for an add on to a rental not metered.

I was skeptical at first given the price, but they do seem to be
I was skeptical at first with these water meters given the price and the fact that they’re made in China. but so far one has counted almost 10,000 gallons without skipping a beat. They seem to be very accurate, I am using them on a well pump system to monitor when the filters need to be changed and approximately how many gallons of water the pump will be pumping before failure. Overall, it was more of an experiment than anything else, the build quality seems to be very good and functionality is on par with other much more expensive water meters, overall great value for the money

I’d like it to say “certified lead free” if, in fact, it is.
I have an apartment in my attached garage, and I use water meters to know how to separate out the charges for hot water use because we share a common hot water heater. Since my meters are connected to the hot water system, the one that is closest to the hot water tank needs to be replaced every few years because the hot water infiltrates the meter and makes the face unreadable (the water condenses on the face so you can’t see through it). Thinking about that, I was a bit confused by the documentation from this meter. In one place, it said the meter was for cold water applications and later on it said “compliant with ISO 4064 certification, making it suitable for both cold and hot water applications.” I ordered it thinking it would be OK for hot water applications. Upon more careful examination, the meter face shows “122°F”, which, if placed near the hot water heater, would probably not last long. So, beware that this is best for cold water applications, or install it far from the hot water heater. Then, I looked up ISO 4064 and it seems mostly to do with the accuracy of the meter. However, nowhere in the documentation of this meter does it say ‘certified lead free.’ When I had my meters installed by a plumber, he was concerned that the meters I had chosen did not say certified lead free. He installed them anyway, since I had purchased them (and that let him off the hook). With that in mind, it would be important for the seller to explicitly say certified lead free for this meter. If not, you should probably not use this. Finally, this meter measures in cubic meters, and it shows on the face that 1 cubic meter = 264 gallons. That means every time you use this meter, you may have to do the conversion - not a big deal, but you might want a meter that just reads in gallons. So, if you have a cold (or cool) water application that does not require lead free certification - perhaps for garden watering or other non-potable use, this should work fine. Make sure you order the correct connector, either 1/2” or 3/4”.
