I have THICK straight hair. I was looking for a bristle brush to try to help with oily roots. While it's not been much help with oily roots it's been good for getting all the way thru my hair easily. I like the smaller one to keep in my purse for use ob the go. I was really surprised at how well the little tool that came with it works for cleaning out the brushes.
