Unique card based combat
Decent remaster and a great way to enjoy two Gamecube classics. Although removal of the English voice could be seen as a negative, the voice acting wasn't great and pales in comparison to the Japanese version.

Good story well told
This is a fun game with relatable characters. The fighting system needs a bit getting used to, but it is well worth the effort

Good remake / port
Ports are well done the games look and run great , but old style game play is slow and clunky compared to more modern games so may not be for everyone. Still a great way to revisit these games if you want to, not sure I would recommend them to anyone who hasn't played before though.

My favorite games from the GC era
Yes, this review is biased with nostalgia. These are my favorite games from the Game Cube era (along with Tales of Symphonia).I’m half through the first game and I can see it’s a well made remaster. The changes to the menu are ok but I could see frame drops in some areas (like Anuenue and a specific boss fight) it didn’t bother me much because it was a small area, but still, the game should be running more smoothly… I hope this can be fixed in a future patch. The voice acting is in Japanese only (the english va of the first game was not that good but you know, nostalgia….) and it’s quite good tbh.Overall I like this remaster and recommend it so far. Once I complete my first playthrough I can come back and update this review in case I see anything that is troublesome.

Japanese only voice overs
I was given this game for Christmas and was really disappointed to find out that Bandai Namco thought that it was acceptable to not port it with the already available English Dubs for either game. I am actually dumb struck that they thought this was acceptable considering the amount of people who speak Japanese in the western world is miniscule.
