Solid upgrade from a d750
Great upgrade from my D750. Works really well, super fast autofocus and the ftz adapter works well for my F mount lenses both Nikon and Tamron. This is not a small and light camera though even though it is mirrorless. It is pretty much the same size as my D750. The controls are nice and easy to use coming from a long line of Nikon digital cameras: D750, D7100, D50. If you ever need to use full speed burst its impressively fast. I tried it at a Luau in Hawaii and going through the pictures is basically like watching a movie frame by frame and I like that unlike Sony with the z8 + ftz + tamron 70-200 f/2.8 there is no artificial cap on the speed at which I can capture images.

Great purchase.
Was afraid to buy such an expensive item on Amazon but the camera and accessories were delivered nicely and everything was great.

Awesome Camera
This is the best camera I have ever used. I bought the Nikon D800 when it came out, and it was a revolution. Now I bought the Z8, and it is again a revolution. Superb ergonomics, the fantastic new lens mount, incredible lenses, the amazing, silent, fully-electronic shutter, the new programmable control dial on the Z lenses - I will never go back to DSLRs. The only shortcoming of this camera is the viewfinder. The resolution and color fidelity is nowhere near what I would like. I expect a Z8 II update in a couple of years that corrects this. And it would be nice to have a pre-release capture mode when shooting raw files. But I hear that may be coming in a future firmware update.

Wow...
The camera is all I had expected it to be based on articles and reviews. The icing on the cake was that they just released a MAJOR firmware update in Feb of 2024 that not only fixes some bugs, but introduces more features. Yes, I'm a many year Nikon owner from film days to digital days and now to mirrorless, but this camera broke the barriers and more. Two thumbs up, Nikon!
