Q: What is the widest dimension of the part that fits into the hole of the jar? I have a bottle with a hole diameter of only 15 mm (just over 9/16 inch)

Widest diameter of the pump is 15 mm, so you may have the same issue as como se va. See comment & soln (4 star, "Oct 23, 2018)

I didn't measure it, but it is the same size as the one I used it to replace. They are working great for me.

I'm not familiar with you brand of pump, but I had two very different styles of pumps, one glass and one resin, and these tops fit them. Just measure the width of you pump opening and check it against the pump tops measurements. If they're very close, they should fit.

Q: How tall is just the silver portion?

The Diagram showing the items measurements are in the mix if thumbnail images. Click on through them until you find the measurements provided. However not sure you want the entire silver portion as asked which is roughly a little over 2" or just above the screw down onto the bottle area to know how much higher it sticks up above the bottle usually itself. So that would be a little about 1.5 inches - or + a few degrees because how it fits on any given bottle may cause it to sit a little higher or lower. I've placed mine in storage or I would give you a more accurate reading. You can however judge it out yourself by looking at the image which I am sure is a lot more helpful as it'll tell you what it is you are actually asking. I know if you were shopping via phone or pad or what have you it's more difficult to move around to see all the information that's provided verses a full computer screen. So now that you know the image is there go check it out. I bought to pump cola syrup and it didn't work out exactly what I wanted so for now they are clean and stored away until I find use for them.
