small attractive lunch box
Meal Prep Container, Coffee Color, 7.07x511x2.44 inch, Single Layer, 501-800MLThis attractive looking wooden bento box is quite small with just a single layer for food, with a removable 3 way divider inside. Note: there is no cutlery included with this box. It is kept shut with an wide elasticated strap fastener with a loose fitting lid. If using for sandwiches the divider can be left out of the box to give more space. For me this looks more about style but does not feel that practical unless used for very traditional Japanese foods with the rounded edges and the shape of each section not really suitable for a standard sized sandwich and apple etc.It mentions in the description that it is insulated but there are no additional layers included and I'm unsure how leakproof this box will be if not kept flat during transportation, so I would add some form of liner to each section if not using for dry foods or rice dishes. It does seem sturdy enough and the wood is a good thickness with a lovely sheen and smooth finish. It should not be used in a microwave to heat foods. I tested it out to see how much it absorbed odours and so added some fish sticks and raw onion slices to the box and left it in the fridge for a few hours. I also added some strips of bread to the edges of the internal divider to check for seepage between sections and found the bread still dry after an hour although it had not been moved about and had remained flat in the fridge. There was no fish or onion smell when food in the box after was removed.I am pleased to say the box was easy to clean after use in warm soapy water. To clean it should be hand washed only and is not suitable for a dishwasher.I like this but it does does seem rather expensive for a lunch box and I have therefore decided that it will make an ideal container for house keys. It does look very attractive and no one will know its original purpose and this way it will get a lot of use.

Very Beautiful & Iconic
This compact Bento Box is amazing! It's super gorgeous in design, understated but looks so cool. I packed it with cucumber salmon and homemade Philly sushi rolls, some dried fruit and nuts, plus a bagel for snacks and lunch, I did line the compartments with parchment / grease proof paper just to be safe. It's such a stunning and eco-friendly piece; it really stands out!
