I love it. Don't forget a violin bow. it doesn't include one
The geared tuning is wonderful and the sound, even when playing unamplified is amazing. I have a very expensive italian violin which is very temperamental. I wanted to be a pro but I was kicked out of a university orchestra because I cannot keep time. I don't have to worry about it being stolen. It is completely playable. You WILL love it!If you purchase this look into the very small wireless transmitters that are now available. I use one and now don't need a cord to connect to my fender twin guitar amp. If you can afford a small all tube amplifier get one. The 5 watt ones are very reasonable. You will love the warmth it adds to the violin. The inexpensive carbon fiber bows are very good and are only $30.Update: Dec 7th. I have put lighter guage Pirastro Tonica strings on the violin. The G and D were too heavy and not as responsive to the bow. The G was very heavy and was creating wolf tones on expressive forte musical segments. With the new strings it is even better. I use a shoulder rest. You need one to provide balance if you are playing intense classical pieces. If you play country fiddle and support it totally with the left hand that isn't needed.

Came with Missing Pieces, No Instructions
It was a Christmas gift, but it couldn't be played until much later because the only things it came with were the violin, the case, the chalk, the chin rest, and a pair of low-quality headphones. The instruction manual doesn't tell what kind of batteries it uses and neither does the back of it, so we had to research to find out what kind of batteries to get, and the exact same could be said for the bow.

Mine came with an ok bow. I see a lot of people saying it didn't come with one. You will need a 9 V battery though.

My daughter is going to freak
This is a christmas present for my daughter. It does not come with a case, Or a bow. But after plugging everything in, It works. It's christmas present for my daughter, I'll edit my review after she gets it.

No battery contact plate
The media could not be loaded. I don’t because it doesn’t turn on. Also, I noticed they went with a horse hair bow instead of a synthetic one i’m aware the cost of this violin being very very reasonable, but the bow is going to be shredded and like the first couple of weeks, even if playing gently it broke up just putting a little bit of Rozen on it. I’ve included a video of the missing contact plate that I’m talking of. I’ll try and find something from my house to just salvage it with to see if I can actually even get it to turn on. There’s also a note on the back of the violin talking about artificial intelligence I don’t understand why are you talking about artificial intelligence you haven’t even figured out how to make it so I can use the batteries on this thing
