Really smooth and absorbent.
I just used it to apply my Halloween make-up. So perfect and fit through all the nooks and crannies of my skin on my face and arms. Very easy to clean to remove any residue left on the sponge.

Inconsistent quality
I first purchased Bowitzki sponges in December and they were the perfect density for face painting, firm but flexible and smooth. I decided to purchase more in January but they were too dense and scratchy to use on faces. They’re good for art but not much else.
