Reggianito Cheese (15 Pounds Approximately) 18 Month Aged (Uruguayan Natural Whole Wheel)

Product arrived well wrapped in ice and styrofoam (although the ice was melted, the temperature outside kept it cold.) Cheese wheel was intact and impressive. It added a authentic flavor to my favorite recipe. Cheese is firm and flavorful much like the flavor /texture of good parmesan.

Shipped from Florida to New Mexico, two wheels in Styrofoam box with two small cold packs. UPS delivered six days later, after sitting at local facility over a hot weekend. Cold packs liquid on arrival, temperature in cooler ~80°, waxy coating of wheels were greasy. However, cheese seems OK. This cheese not quite as hard as Lithuanian product.

I just eat it with eggs or by itself

Tastes like a very mild cheese. I also weighted my wheel and it was only 14.1 pounds, I know it said approximately 15 but since I’m paying by the ounce it doesn't really seem fair to advertise around 15. I was thinking about getting 2 but who knows that might have been only 28 pounds

The flavor was excellent, and delivery was much faster than advertised. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a wheel this size. Tastes just as good as its much more expensive cousin , Reggiano, which is available at your local market for 3x the price

This cheese was amazing! We cut in up into smaller wedges so that we could store it in our refrigerator easier and it lasted for over several months. Our only problem was that the shipper damaged the packaging in transport. It was so well packaged that the cheese itself was fine but the seller still was good about it. We'll get this again, but maybe a smaller wheel next time!

This cheese has a slightly smoother less salty flavor than the actual Parmesan cheese from Reggio region. Is pretty good for pasta a La Ruota.
