Q: Is the bottom flush, or is there a recess? We have a flame detector that stick up about 1/2 inch above the top of the pan.

This is like a lid, the sides come down 3/8 to 1/2 inch. For my gas fire pit, it allows the lava rock to be above the sides of the pit and I can still cover/protect them.

Q: The description says it is 22" round. The details say it is 21" diameter. Which one is correct? Do you measure the inside or the outside diameter?

Outside measurement is 21.75. Inside measurement is a slight1/8” narrower. Height is 1”. It covers our 20.5” fire pit opening perfectly!

Q: What gauge stainless steel is this cover?

I don’t know the gauge but it is heavy. It definitely won’t blow off.

Q: My pan is 18×18. Do you have one that can accommodate?

Our 21 x 21 inches lid fits your 18 x 18 inches pan.
