Earth: One Amazing Day (4K UHD) [Blu-ray]

For anyone interested in nature, this film is a must. The camera work throughout the film is stunning and the narration, by Robert Redford is very easy on the ear and generally informative, though occasionally a little more information would have been welcome. However, this doesn't detract from the quality of this film, that at times simply takes your breath away.

This is a joy to sit down and watch, anytime.

A huge production effort, but disappointed to find repeat footage from Planet Earth II, albeit with different narration. Planet Earth II has been hailed as a reference work for 4K UHD but I disagree, that contained far too much obviously non-UHD footage and this also falls a bit short. There are sections that simply don't look like 4K at all, which detracts from the excellence of other parts. Nevertheless, a very enjoyable documentary even if it is rather short for the subject matter. The hummingbird vs bumble bee scene demonstrates some skilled film making and is one of the highlights - one could be forgiven for thinking the cover artwork is pure Photoshop fantasy.

It’s a collage, a resume of other documentaries of BBC, but a true AV enthusiast can’t miss it owing to the Dolby Vision upgrade, I watched it on a LG C8 (stunning television) with a LG UBK 90 (budget player but with Dolby Vision out of the box). Once you’ll watch it with a LG C8 but with one of the new two Panasonic, UB 820 or UB 9000, it will be amazing. P.S. Audio is stunning!

This 4K Ultra HD, Earth, one amazing day is really special. It has all that you would expect from the BBC Natural history and others. Picture quality is superb, faultless, subject matter, well all I can say is congratulations to all involved in the making of this magnificent programme. Less inthusiastic is in the sound track, narrator, Robert Redford, is adiquate, just, the music beautifully composed and played. One complaint however. the music is so overwhelming and loud that virtually nowhere in the film could you hear the narration.This totally spoiled the enjoyment of this Disc. I have all the latest 4K equipment so there was no problem there. Hence only 3 Stars.David Warr, Cheltenham.
