This is an excellent product that I dust the roots of all my new plants with when I am planting them. It gives the roots a head start and helps them get established faster. This also means that you don't have to water your new plants as much as you would need to otherwise - so even though it may seem expensive, it saves money on water, especially for larger woody roots, like trees, roses, hydrangeas, etc. It also gives you a plant that can easily pass for an older version of itself. I have seen year one roses look like 3 year old roses in one season, after being planted with this treatment. I don't know why I didn't know about this product years ago, but I am glad I discovered it this year!I have read that many people will add this to the water they give their plants at the start of each growing season . . . I plan to try this next year, after having lost many preestablished plants this past summer to the severe heat and drought that has recently become characteristic of my region.
