Product is junk, unless you like melted plastic and traffic tickets for headlights failing.
These bulbs overheated the connectors and melted. They destroyed 2 balasts that cost me $55 each. DDM refused to replace the balasts because I did not buy them from DDM, even though their product caused the damage.I returned them for refund. Here's the note I included in the box with the bad bulbs. I am posting it here so that DDM is sure to see it, because the pleb in the receiving department may just put my note in the circular file.-------------------------------------------------------------------------To whom it may concern:The bulbs I am returning are the warranty replacements you sent when the first bulb (the connector without the bulb) destroyed an original factory Toyota balast (2006 Prius w/ HID from factory). Shortly thereafter, the OTHER bulb from the original set destroyed a replacement aftermarket HID balast, causing the bulb to be fused into the connector.I have included the 2 destroyed balast connectors in this package so that you may forward them to your QA deapartment. Please, please send these to QA for analysis. My friends and I have been buying HID kits from DDM for around 10 years now, and I must say that the quality of your bulbs has fallen sharply in that time. In fact, the bulbs and balasts from the first set of bulbs that both myself and one other purchased all those years ago are still functioning perfectly. In later years, we have had to have both bulbs and balasts from other kitrs replaced under warranty. Now your bulbs have destroyed over $100 worth of balasts, for which you have already said that you will not reimburse me.It used to be that you had excellent quality, which set you apart from the crap-shoot of ordering bulbs from unknown sellers. I used to enthusiastically recommend your products to others. Sadly, the quality changes that many of us have seen over the last several years puts DDM on par with the "crap-shoot" method of ordering.I would be interested in hearing what DDM's plans are to improve their QA process. If I do not hear from you, I will assume that you have no interest in my constructive feedback, and I will be forced to no longer recommend DDM to anyone as a source of quality bulbs and kits.Furthermore, I feel that DDM should be paying for return shipping on these bulbs. I do not see why I should have to foot the bill for your defective product.-------------------------------------------------------------------------

They used to be the best bang for the buck much cheaper then Umnitza back ...
Ive been buying ddmtuning hids since they were called apexcone way back in the day when the owner would go to bimmerforums and sell his stuff. I bought DOZENS of kits from ddm over the years direct through their website and group buys on the forum for me and for friends and family. They used to be the best bang for the buck much cheaper then Umnitza back in the day. Now dare I say they are a hid conglomerate quality has definitely gone down hill. I have about 6 kits in my garage with either a bad ballast or bad bulbs. I know they have a lifetime warranty but honestly with hid prices these days its not worth the hassle of sending them back. I always go back to buying ddm(dont know why) I wanted to "upgrade" my e60 m5 hids and since no one makes a 55w d1s canbus ballast for my car i decided to just upgrade the bulbs. I used to have the 55w ultra kit on my m3 and I loved it. Fast warm up and bright as hell. Way brighter then any hid on the market until 3 years in, a ballast and bulb died. Instead I opted to go the LED route instead of replacing the bulb and ballast. The leds obviously dont have the lumens like hids but still decent. These ultra bulbs just dont look as good as my old ultra kit also these bulbs look way too blue more like 6500 not 5500. I know I also had a 55w ballast but honestly save your money and buy the cheap $20 bulb if you are using stock/35w ballast.

Doesn't work and seller don't accept a return because it's past 30 days despite "1 year warranty".
I bought these as spares to keep in the car as spares in case my other DDM bulbs were to go bad. Some point after purchasing I decided to test if they actually worked - no point to has spares that doesn't work. I already have DDM bulbs and ballasts, and these are physically identical to the ones I have. The only difference is that the ones I had works, and these doesn't.The seller said it might be the polarity that's switched in these ones and wanted me to do their troubleshooting by connecting them backward. Aside it should never be the customer's job to correct manufacturer production errors, and that because it's installed in a pretty inaccessible location would take me hours to do, putting the connector on backward would also mean that the retaining clip would be on the side were there was no retaining hook, and thus there would be nothing to prevent the connectors from randomly disconnecting while driving, leaving me with no headlights. The seller refuses to acknowledge their product is delivered in a defective condition (not working with their own ballasts is defective in my book) and refuses to take them back for a refund because it's past the 30 days from purchase. This despite advertising a "1 year warranty".Oh, and they never got back to me when I initially complained. Only when I got Amazon to open a case that required them to respond did they get back to me.So it seems DDM is hit-and-miss. On one hand, the ones I have works fine, on the other hand these doesn't work at all and the company is unwilling to make good. Hopefully what I've got lasts a long time. But once they wear out they definitely won't be replaced with DDM.

Beware of you need customer service they'll tell you one thing and do another.
Ordered bulbs back in April but didn't receive the thicker O rings that are need for my lights. No big deal, email them and get told they'll be sent out and have them next week. It's now July 11th I've emailed them in June and no response. Poor customer service. They also do get to full brightness in 15 seconds as stated. More like 45 seconds.

Used for over month now so far so good.
My 6500k bulbs came out to be bright with a tint of blue. On the pic, the left is ddm tuning and on the right is my 10 year old hid bulb. I knocked out one star because when first turning on the hid lights, it initially turns a little green but after awhile it will turn white and tint of blue. Used for over month now so far so good.
