It was easy to set up and allowed us to use our Deco M5 units as access points allowing for better signal strength over our apartment. Definitely recommend this router for its utility and low cost.

Product immediately returned. Was easy to set up, but internet speed dropped 80% compared to a 2 year old router that i am currently using. Not worth the money at all.

Very easy to set up, wifi6, solid software and much better speeds than DU router, what else could you wish for?

Asus router has more features and you can change many settings compared to other routers i have tried like zte and tp link.

Excellent performance plus great integration with other Asus router using Mesh

I bought these to extend wifi via AiMesh with my ASUS RT-AX86U router, which does really well already, but has difficulty getting strong signals to my garage and sunroom because they are add-ons and are outside the original house walls which have the aluminum backed insulation boards = almost no signals get in or out. I placed one device in garage and sunroom at the closest wall outlet possible. The router signal was weak, but present. Setup is simple, but not necessarily straightforward. I recommend using Asus router app with AiMesh if you can. Plug device in wall VERY near router. Go through setup instructions. Once synced, move to desired location outlet and wait/watch for proper signal acquisition with lighting. ***I will note here that even when testing the devices throughout the house on other outlets where router signal was strong, they didn't want to connect. KEEP TRYING!! I had to unplug and plug several times. Now, I have strong seamless signal in all areas and even 20-40 ft beyond house walls. Pros: -relatively simple setup -good price -plugs directly in wall outlet (no cords) -very good wifi extension range -seamless transition throughout areas with AiMesh Cons: -once plugged in, no room for 2nd plug in wall outlet -devices pair well originally when very close to router, but then seemingly have difficulty reaquiring signal when moved elsewhere, even where signal is strong (keep trying!)

Purchased this unit from Australia and it does not come with the AU adapter for the PSU Apart from that, setup was easy, unit looks understated and has a small footprint. Signal strength was about the same as the ASUS RT-AC66UB1 which it replaced, but speed is better. Configured old ASUS router as AIMesh Node and again, setup was easy and wifi coverage is now excellent throughout home.

Good quality Wifi 7 router for the money, it has some tricks in in's sleeve...

What an awesome powerhouse, Asus did it again with this Router ... I am extremely satisfied with this product, lightning fast on both WiFi and Ethernet to start with, easy to setup out of the box and with room to tweak it up some more, you can install some special scripts if you really want to. I mainly like the AI free protection that comes with it as an added layer of security, the VPN features and much more but the real reason I decided to go for this router is because it is not Chinese made which in terms of cyber security means a lot, this device is directly connected to my ISP by Fiber Internet, it replaced the ISP router and it is the main gate to my home network so I will not risk it with any product. So I would highly recommend this wonderful product to anyone who is security councious and is looking to secure his precious home network. As usual do some research before buying and go through all the features to make sure it covers your needs. I would also strongly recommend to have a dedicated fanless firewall in your network to complete your network security.

Really decent router as what I expect from ASUS router, but it is far from traveler router. Changing the SSID reconfigures and reboots the router... Even without changing the password, my phone things it is a new router, so I need to forget the connection and reconnect again... One can use power bank to power the router. This "feeds" the router with 5V which is enough to run the router, but might not be enough to run if you have something hooked to it. The power supply is fixed 9V with USB-C connector - just looking to bun a device that cannot handle such voltage... No issues to use Android phone as modem.
