Ok gradual tan, not very dark

I read the reviews on this product which was good and thought I’d give it a go as the price was good. I also bought a tanning mitt because I always get my palms tanned as well. I must say I am so happy with this product it leaves my skin feeling so soft and gave me a really nice glow no streaks which I think is because the mitt helps give an even tan. I love it it doesn’t look fake at all I can recommend this self tanning lotion 10 out of 10 going to get another one tomorrow incase I run out.

I am 45 years old and don't like to tan my skin, because of skin health and aging reasons. I am avid sunscreen wearer. I have light/medium skin. I purchased fair the fair to medium glow body lotion. My skin can be on drier side. Using lotion is a must for me after showering. I love this product. So many self-tan products are stinky and do not moisturize enough. This product does not stink and my sensitive/dry skin feels hydrated. The fair to medium took several applications to do anything to my skin. Even though I love the product, I may buy light to medium next. After about 5 applications, my skin is looking glowy and has a bit of a tan. I am getting some color pay off. The pay off is enough for Fall and Winter. As with any self-tan product, I would recommend exfoliating at weekly at the very least. Pay close attention to the knees, elbows, folds hands, and feet. Wash your hands after application. You can go in afterwards and apply to the tops of the hands and feet with a kabuki brush if you want. I find that to be the easiest way. I love this product. It is the best have found so far for a gradual and buildable tan without the downsides that so many self-tanners have. I highly recommend trying this product if you want a little color and are looking for something that actually provides some skincare benefits. If you skin is light, start with a lighter shade.

To be clear, the only other gradual tanner I’ve used is Jergen’s Natural Glow. I just recently started using this one, and I definitely like it much better - mostly because of the formula. The description is definitely accurate that it is lightweight, dries quickly, and doesn’t leave your skin tacky or oily. That’s the best part. It has a gel-like consistency rather than a full blown lotion, which makes it much easier to rub in and feel confident that you won’t miss any spots and look streaky. Because it’s thinner, I feel like I use less of this product since it spreads much more easily. The scent is also really nice. Smells like cherries to me! It also dissipates pretty quickly, so you don’t feel like you smell like some unintended scent all day. It’s definitely not overpowering. Either way, the smell of this product and the consistency is definitely better than Jergen’s. Not only that, I think the results are better too. I’ve only been using this product for a few days and people have already noticed the tan. It doesn’t wash off easily in the shower, either. Remember to wash your hands well after applying, or you will have orange stains in between your fingers and on your palms.. and they will take days to come off! This is a great product all around and I will continue to buy it, especially during the winter months.

I am a very pale person with very sensitive skin. I got the "Fair to Medium" lotion, applied some all over in the evening, and let's just say I fell asleep looking like Kirsten Dunst, woke up looking like Eva Longoria ;-) But in all seriousness, I was surprised by how quickly the tan started to develop. The next day I could wear shorts without feeling like I was walking around with pasty-white legs. It definitely gives you a natural, glowing tan! After the second application, I decided to rinse off the lotion after about 6 hours because the tan was developing a bit too quickly, and I wanted to take it slow to get the right shade. One area on my arm was streaky, but I think it's because I was impatient and didn't spend enough time blending in the lotion. I'd highly recommend this product! No complaints about the scent. It's got a very faint tanning lotion smell, but not nearly as bad as the stuff we used in the early 2000's. (Not as strong as Jergens.)

So I have a dark skin tone (cinnamon you might call it) but in the winter I turn an unfortunate shade of wet cement. I get so pale that Ive consider changing my ethnicity on my drivers license for the months of Nov-February I leave the house in the morning and it’s dark, and return home in the dark . And in the interim hours my concerned coworkers ask me if I’m sick because my normal brown skin has turned a sunless, weak Victorian child clotted cream yellow. This lotion saved me from asking my boss to install a sunning room in the office! It’s a buildable color so I didn’t just walk in one day and BAM I’m brown again. It gently builds upon itself so that I simply look like I go home and spend a half hour responsibly sunning in the Maldives. I use it on my face and some how don’t breakout. The lotion is white but turns my skin a lovely shade of nutmeg over the course of the week. It smells like strawberries. I don’t know what kind of magic this is but I’m ditching my foundation and I’ve never looked more refreshed. 10/10
