works in my oil lamps. 5 star. They will either work or not. Solid wicks, sewn together well.

Perfect fit and well made . They worked great and was easy to insert.

They do everything you want a wick to do. the soak up fuel quick, they burn evenly, and they extinguish easy. One benefit to these i have noticed is that they don't smolder for long after you extinguish them. after about 2 seconds the ember is gone and there is no smoke.

Okay, this was a Christmas gift. When it was unwrapped and taken out of the box the good is the glass was not broken. I thought that was a win since that is what I was worried about. BUT, when the globe wos lifted off, it appears the top part of the brass wick adjuster where the glove sits into was not even connected to the base, oh, and as a matter of fact, the entire wick adjuster assembly was not assembled. It all just fell apart. The tabs holding it all together were not connected, and some were completely mashed down out of the way away from where they should have been. After some time I was able to get most of it put together. The metal is so thin and flimsy you can just bend it with your fingernails. I would never buy another one of these. I still need to bend and re-position some other tabs to see if I can get them to align with their slots and attached. But, the glass base and glove are in perfect shape, hmmm, I should wait until I put something liquid like water in the base before I get too carried away, in case it falls apart too.

I have a lot of antique oil lamps that I'm refurbishing , this was exactly what I was looking for.
