My kid needed something to put over shoes to walk into the margins of streams to look for critters for an ongoing school project. After looking at a bunch of reviews of various products, I settled on these. One reason I chose these is because the "boot" doesn't have a zipper where water might be able to penetrate. These close with a couple of snaps to hold the material around your calf. Unless these were to tear the only way water is getting in is over the top.They are very rubbery so unless your shoes are really smooth you can't easily slide your feet into them. That's not a problem; I just want people to be aware. The trick is to scrunch these up a bit so you can put the toe of your shoe into the toe of the "boot" and then go from there. In that sense it's kind of like putting on pantyhose.I'm glad I purchased the largest size. They work fine to put over your standard women's size 8 running shoes, but I don't think they would fit over anything much larger than that. These have been worn about a half dozen times so far and have worked fine.

If you plan to wear these over sneakers, you will need to up an extra size. I carefully figured out what I thought would be the correct size but I can only fit them over regular shoes.

The material feels a bit weird to the touch, but feels thick and stretchy. If you get the right size, it’s a snug fit when wearing over your shoes or boots, and therefore looks pretty nice and presentable.I bought a pair to use while mopping floors as I am a cleaner, to help prevent me from putting marks on the floor.I am a size 6 or 6 1/2 in men, I think that is an eight or so in women. Maybe seven or 7 1/2? I’ve always went by men’s sizes even though I woman, because I always bought Converse It was easier to go by men’s sizes. I bought a size small.

I ended up not packing these on a very fast-paced, three-week excursion to Europe but I actually kept them for future use in summer or other seasons where I may want to wear sandals or special events that require fancy shoes, because they're very good quality.
