WEN Quiet and Lightweight 4800-Watt RV-Ready Portable Inverter Generator with Fuel Shut Off (56477i)

We just lost power for 9 days during the Palisades fire and this generator shipped the day after I ordered and came in literally 20-ish minutes before our power went out. I had a neighbor help set it up and looked very easy to do. I was able to easily start it by myself and run multiple extension cords to power essentials. We plugged wifi, tv, phone chargers, refrigerator, deep freezer, cappuccino machine, and air fryer. When using the kitchen appliances we would unplug the deep freezer or refrigerator to make sure we didn’t exceed wattage. Very easy to just unplug and plug what was needed in. This saved us! The only thing I wish we could have done was plugged our water heater in and some better lighting. We are now looking at the higher wattage as we are already looking at another power shutoff Monday. I have recommended this one to so many people already! 9 straight days of use from the moment we took it out of the box. I recommend getting 50+ feet for the cords and power strips to plug in multiple things via extension cords. It ran all night long without going off from gas usage. We got 3 2gallon gas cans and a 5 gallon and used a siphoning device for that to transfer gas. It would last 8 hours easy on a tank. Easy peasy! I started it multiple times no husband needed. A child could operate easily. Very user friendly. Highly recommend. Great price and it’s very lovely looking and quiet. The guys that helped set me up asked me for the link bc they couldn’t believe how well it worked and how quiet it was. Thanks for saving our lives this last week +! I purchased this generator for RV use and couldn’t be more pleased. It’s relatively quiet, easy to start, and provides plenty of power for appliances and electronics. The inverter technology makes it safe for sensitive devices, and the fuel shutoff is convenient for storage. Excellent performance and portability for the wattage.

This little generator is the best value I have ever seen. The quality is exceptionally good, and it always starts on the first or second pull. The output of the inverter Meets or Exceeds the Rated Capacity for continuous as well as surge load. (I'm an electrical engineer, and generators are something of a hobby to me. I own a lot of them) This is Huge because a lot of other inverter generators do not come close to the rated output, or suffer Serious voltage drops when subjected to load spikes (like starting an air conditioner). These WEN units provide exceptional surge capability and excel at starting inductive loads like air conditioners (provided you have a soft-start installed). I have a pair of these 56477i units with manual start. They are so easy to start, I see the electric start option as overkill and something else that needs a battery to maintain. Two of these units (with my self-designed Phase Sync Box that creates 240v Split-Phase Power) run my Entire House, including the 4-Ton AC, a 1-Ton Mini-Split AC, Two Refrigerators, A Chest Freezer, and all lights and computers Simultaneously ! I just alternate which one of these I take on trips with my RV so they get even usage, and while at home the pair of them make a very portable 9600 Watt Whole-House Generator (for 1/3rd the cost). I also have four of the 2350 watt suitcase-style generators from WEN. (The 56235i models) I can also say that a pair of the 2350 units do exactly match the power and performance of the 4800. I also run my entire house exactly as stated above using FOUR of the 2350 units with my Phase-Sync Box. Here are a couple of pictures. All I can say is that these units provide exceptional bang for the buck. Keep the oil changed often as these little engines do not have oil filters, and keep fuel stabilizer in the gas.

So, I sold my predator 2000 to help purchase this. I have a cargo trailer/camper that I boondock in half the time. Primarily I used my predator 2k to charge batteries and my power bank, as well as back up power in case my power goes out. Last year I got an a/c for my trailer, would only work if I borrowed my brothers pretador 2k inverter and ran it parellel with mine to power ac during the summer months. Worked well but I hate borrowing stuff. Was >< this close to getting a predator 3500 for the black friday price which was still 200 more than what I paid for the Wen 4800. What clinched it was 1)the weight(25pounds lighter). I have 2 small kids who will not be helping with squat for a few years. 2)the price....enough said...3)..three year warrenty, at the very least I xan get parts and fix it myself...and 4) Power! No need to worry about stressing a smaller gen, and this is quiter then two 2k in parrell. I will do a follow up as I use it more, but this is comparable in quality to my old predator, which served me well for 6 years. Just baby the motor during brake-in, oil is cheap but these are not, then let er rip(but still check the oil).
