Once I mixed the powder into a slurry and ran it through the skimmer, the difference was almost immediate—tiny particles that normally slip past other filter media just disappeared, leaving the water noticeably crisper and cleaner. The product description says it filters down to 2 microns, and from my experience, that seems about right. The 25 lb bag is heavy, but it’s good value for how long it lasts. My 60 sq. ft. pool filter takes about 6 lbs per recharge, so I’ll get several full uses out of this one bag. I also appreciate that it cuts down on the amount of chlorine and shock I need to keep things balanced—less chemical smell and gentler on skin. A couple of things to keep in mind: DE is a fine powder, so it can get dusty when you’re scooping it out. It’s best to wear a mask and handle it outdoors when possible. Also, don’t forget to clean the filter at least once a season as recommended; DE buildup can reduce flow if neglected. Bottom line: If you want consistently clear water and a more efficient pool system, Celatom DE is a reliable, high-quality choice.

Perfect for AQUARIUM use. I have not found a like product in pet stores, but thought to try this Pool/Spa rare earth. (Food grade products don't cut it). It does 2 microns filtering, and works fine with my old VORTEX diatomaceous earth filter. Cost wise it's a bargain, and now I don't have to skim on a filter fill with my previous limited supply. I was out of DE and went to the pool store to buy another bag. The price had gone up a lot since last year. I can home and looked on Amazon. This Celatom DE 25 lb was a great find. The price was extremely good. And delivery was easy. The bag was left on my front porch in an Amazon box. The DE does come in a paper bag so you don't want to get the bag wet. The product works well. I will be buying this DE for my pool again.

This is De. We use it in our pool filter. It does what it is supposed to do. I bought it from Amazon because it was a good price. Generally De is De. This is the brand we normally buy. Its a good choice.

I have a salt water pool and have purchased this exact item several times at pool stores and the price on Amazon is typically a much better value. I prefer to buy DE in boxes rather than bags because the bags of typically unwieldy and make a bigger mess. This product works perfectly through my Hayward filter system and I rarely get algae. Thumbs up here!

It's diatomaceous earth. Used per instructions. Did the job.

This is DE filter powder used mostly in pool filters. The e big box stores have it and the last time I checked they charged over $46. This is a bit cheaper and the same quality.

Order came quickly and was packaged well. I put it in the pump and the pool looks clear and blue. Would definitely buy again when needed.
