Finally Beat Stubborn BGA in My Planted Tank
I've had ongoing issues with blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) in my planted tanks for years and nothing seemed to work. I was pretty sceptical when I tried this product, especially since my latest tank was completely overrun and nothing I tried before had any effect whatsoever - I genuinely thought it was beyond saving with thick BGA covering every surface imaginable. It took three treatments of this product to fully clear up the problem, but the results were impressive. The BGA is gone, and my plants and fish weren’t adversely affected at all - the BGA is yet to return! I followed the dosing instructions carefully and introduced a powerhead to increase water flow which might have helped too. The instructions warn of the product depleting oxygen levels, but I added an air stone to my planted tank and all was fine. If you're dealing with persistent BGA and feel like you've tried everything, this is definitely worth a shot. Just be patient and consistent with the dosing. BGA gone 🪴🐟 but now to deal with the next type of algae - exciting times 🙃

Best thing I've bought for blue-green algae!
Wish I bought it sooner! I had blue-green algae (otherwise known as cyanobacteria) and my tank smelled like stagnant swamp! My plants were getting suffocated by being coated and had an awful film in patches. Tried water changes, using a toothbrush to clear plants, scrubbed ornaments but the stuff came back. One treatment, over 48 hours, end of the week, IT HAS GONE! Easy to use. Value for money. My fish are fine (one betta, six clouded minnows, three loaches.) Just make sure you have an airstone as this helps with dead spots and keeps water agitated.

Very good product with very fast results!
My cyanobacteria outbreak started during the hot summer of 2020. Ever since I have been trying to keep it under control with weekly 50 per cent water changes and more frequent filter servicing, but the issue still prevailed. I tried several other products from popular brands but none were effective until I came across Ultralife Blue-Green Slime Stain Remover. Within a week, all the cyanobacteria had vanished; I did a 50 per cent water change, vacuumed the gravel, and reapplied just to make sure. It has been well over a month now, and no sign of any cyanobacteria. No harm was done to flora and fauna. I have a 300-litre heavily planted aquarium. Seeing it slime free was great, as the plants were suffering. Very good product!

It is working. It got rid of some black coating on some of my crypts too.
I use this on my 2 largest Aquariums. A 6x2x2ft and another smaller one (142) litres. I treated the largest first I do weekly water changes and use Estive index dosing on a weekly cycle. I wanted something that didn't instruct to treat over a much longer period, as some of the competing products recommend. I did a major plant trim first and removed badly affected plants and some of the worst leaves and some badly affected substrate. I also did a filter clean. I had been treating with H2O2 but the cyanobacteria kept returning. But this product showed major improvement after one week. I have now treated with a further dose after an 8-day treatment and 65% water change and there don't seem to be any pockets of cyanobacteria. I treated the second tank ( not EI Dosed) 1 week after the first one and can see the slime disappearing. I did not lose any fish in the process. 1pack did both tanks for 1 treatment but I had to get another to complete the treatment. Hence drop of one star. I am about to do another water change tomorrow. Of course I cannot at this stage be certain of complete eradication. For that only time will tell.

Amazing stuff that works
This stuff is fantastic, I were very sceptical as I'd tried just about everything to get rid of this green layer that covered everything, nothing worked. I'd completely emptied the tank several times bleaching even the gravel leaving to soak 2 hrs. It still didn't work, everything I tried it kept coming back the very next day. I tried Water changes every few days, lights off for a week, still didn't work. I'd lost numerous plants because of it. Then I came across this stuff, my tank were covered in slime, plants, glass, heaters the lot when I put it in, it were really bad. I were going to get rid of the tank if this didn't work. It were nearly at its worst when I added it, the next day it weren't any better but no worse, I followed the instructions and added a second dose. The next day it were going from green slime to brown, then it were disappearing. After a week it were nearly gone but not completely, so again I followed the instructions and added another dose, also a partial water change, the next day it were gone, it were really gone!!! I can't begin to tell you how happy I am, I'm extatic that finally it's actually gone. I can't thank the manafacturer of this stuff enough, it's absolutely brilliant stuff and I very highly recommend it to others who have the same problem. I kept my fish and nerite & spixi snails in the whole time & they are all absolutely OK. It were worth every penny to have my tank back to normal. As I said I were sceptical at first but I needn't have been, its absolutely amazing, whatever is in it definitely works. If you have the same problem I had then use this. I thought I were battling an algae problem, apparently it's not algae it's a blue green slime not related to it, hence why the bleaching and the algae stuff I bought before didn't work. I just wish I'd taken before & after shots as it's so different to how it were, I've got my lovely tank back at last, thank you to the manafacturer & seller of these miracle granules.

Was sceptical at first
I have had an issue with blue/green slime for a while and this product has made an enormous difference to my tank. I am on the second week of treatment, the water a general appearance is remarkable! Easy to use, I worked out the volume of the tank and used 3 spoons in the first 2 doses. Cleaned the tank a week later and have dosed again. I will continue until I’m happy the slime is under control. Great product!

A real solution
I have a 450 litre planted aquascape containing discus, clown loaches and have been fighting blue/green slime algae for months. Avoided adding anything into tank preferring more natural solutions that simply didn't work that well. 2 water changes a week with RO water, increasing co2, reducing lighting etc helped to keep it under control but that's all. As a last resort I tried this, within 48 hours it was drastically reduced and now 4 days in, I cannot see any. No harm to fish or plants or 'natural' algae. Brilliant stuff.
