HUGE
this bag was enormous! and full of little critters for my hedgehog. i don’t know how they taste, but he seemed to LOVE them. even flipped his plate once he was done. quality is very nice! not full of crumbs but nice big larvae. it looked like it was vacuum sealed so the product was very fresh. for the price, it’s an amazing buy just scoop and go easy.

Chickens love them
I had a baby in the hospital and wasn't eating much. I used the BSFL to help get it's appetite back up. It worked in no time. Our little girl loves them and they're full of protein and calcium. She started eating her normal food again and loves her morning snack of BSFL. She probably wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for her snacking on these treats to help her start eating again. I bought this at a good price that was cheaper than tractor supply just under $15 for a couple pound vs a few ozs at that price. It was fresh and a little smelly but if they love it, I love it. I also feed this to my 5 week old chicks as a treat. They love it soo much too.

Good Worms Don't Like the package
First, it's a great larvae and the chickens love them. As for price I believe they are on par with other providers. I buy the black fly larvae for my chickens and usually cost about $50 for a five gallon bucket from Tractor Supply. The package has a zip lock to seal the bag afterward but to get the top portion open was a pain in the butt. There is a quick tear tab but that did not seem to give access to the seal. I had to cut close with a knife to get the plastic separated enough to get the seal open. It's a bit nit picky but I am getting tired of poor service these days and every thing poorly made. If you are going to go through the trouble of adding a seal, make it easy to access it with tearing up the entire bag, kind of defeats the purpose if you don't. That's the only neg I've got.
