It screws and locks in well. I only wished the ports were closer together, this works good though, very well made, very easy to use.

Needed to convert my TYT UV390 to BNC so I could standardize my antennas. Tighten it down hard and you're good to go! Makes disconnecting cables and antennas super convenient, and now you don't have to worry about whether things are SMA male or female!

I got these specifically to add a BNC connector to my MD-380/UV-380 HT as to not damage the antenna connector when I take the antenna off for transport in my suitcase/overnight bag/glove box, etc. If you swap them on and off and other antennas, these keep you from damaging the SMA connectors. One of the first things I do is install a BNC connector when I get a new HT. I recommend this to anyone. This particular connector does not fit Baofeng DM-1801 or the UV-5R Radios, there are others that do fit those.
