Boon Glo Nightlight with Balls

First - the actual nightlight part of this device is adequate. The switch to change the colors is a bit fiddly, but it's sufficiently bright and the color changing is nice. My kid was enchanted by the picture of this nightlight and begged and begged me to order it. He got an important real world lesson in marketing vs. reality - the removable "glow in the dark" balls are incredibly cheap and have only the faintest ability to glow in the dark (imagine the "light power" of a glow in the dark tshirt and that's about it). Of course, the picture on the box and the picture on the Amazon listing is far more impressive (that photo of the kid sleeping with 3 very bright portable balls - SO FAKE). I learned this lesson with Sea Monkeys back in the day. Welcome to the real world, kid! Overall - price seemed VERY HIGH for actual product.

Balls do not glow like they do in half the advertising pictures.*Update* balls do glow but have to be in the device while it's on for 24-48 hours, definitely longer than the 30 minutes the manual says.

The design of the actual pluggable portion is really cool and the light coming from it is bright just like a great nightlight would be. The balls..not so much. They’re cheap flimsy plastic. They’re meant to be charged by the pluggable portion of the nightlight. Supposedly it only takes 30 minutes for them to become ‘fully charged’. I left ours to charge for 24+ hours and the BARELY glow. The glow stickers you get for the bedroom ceiling and walls glow brighter than these balls. Disappointing and misleading but at least the other part is neat.

This is a neat idea but it DOES NOT work as stated in description. The orbs/balls do not glow or stay “lit” once removed from base. Does work as a night light but ONLY when connected to base! Description says “balls will glow up to 30 mins when removed from base” and “the portable balls can be used as night lights.” This IS SO not true. Expensive purchase …. would not recommend. Disappointed!

It’s just a plain light when you walk with the detached plastic bulbs there is hardly any light very disappointing

The product glows and creates a soft light on my son’s bedroom. But it is very thin and plastic feels cheap. Definitely not something my son would be able to play with.

Directions say to charge glow balls for 2 minutes. I have had them plugged in and lit up for 6 hours and they won’t glow. Very disappointing because it’s a wicked cool design!

These aren’t individual lights that can be transported. A nightlight only, don’t try using one to navigate to the bathroom or anywhere at night.
