Life lessons
Miranda loved to read and Pastor Joe loved to give her books to read. After she'd read a book he'd given her, they would have a discussion on it. They usually disagreed with each others take on the book. Miranda thought that adventure would bring true happiness, but Pastor Joe tried to tell her that you need to look below the surface to find true love. Eric Malone is a saloon owner and Miranda thought he was special because he talked about adventure. Luckily, she learned to see through him before he ruined her reputation. This is a well written story and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Learning from our mistakes.
It's amazing that Joe is just like our time . With the way he preach and how he explained the sermons.

Deciding for adventure or steadfast
Miranda thought adventure was the only to live and she was going for it. But at what cost? Such decisions!

Will Miranda find out what true love really is?
I loved Miranda and Joe’s story. It was another fantastic read in this series. Miranda and Pastor Joe became good friends. They both liked to read the same books and then discuss them afterwards. She found it easy to talk to him. He was trying to help her make friends with the women in town. She was somewhat of a recluse. She would rather go to her room to read after she got her work done. She knew what she wanted in a man. When she met Eric, the owner of the Saloon, she thought he had everything she wanted. He was a gentleman and was very nice to her. He said the right things. At first she didn’t know he had a bad reputation with the town’s people, but Miranda thought he had changed. Then she started to forget things she was suppose to do at the orphanage. Then there was the problem she had with the teens, one in particular. She was not on her older sister Jessica’s good side. There were twist and turns to this story. Miranda came to finally realize she made mistakes. Would she be able to make amends with Jessica? Would she lose her friendship with Joe? It would hurt too much if she did. Would she finally realize what true love really is and realize who she really loved? Would she find her HEA? This is a fantastic read. It’s a story well worth reading. I highly recommend it!!!I was given an advanced copy of this book. I voluntarily wrote an honest review.
