I had a monitor extension for my laptop that died on me and was looking for a replacement, Mobile Pixels had captured my attention before with some of their desktop monitors, and figured that I would give them a try. The setup/installation of this screen extender was super easy with the help of a full-color cardstock guide. (I mention the cardstock because keeping this guide around for any future use is a great idea!) The quality of this screen/monitor is superb! I didn't experience any delays, flickering, or any other problems while using it. The magnets that hold this screen onto your laptop are strong and there's no worry or issues with the screen falling off. The added feature of the screen knowing which direction it's installed is a great time saver. I would highly recommend this monitor extender! I have only two notes on how this monitor could be improved. The first would be some type of protective cover for the screen for when you don't have it on your monitor. Like when traveling or just no need for it. I couldn't fit both my laptop and the extended monitor in my laptop bag. The other note would be to either include a second set of magnets or to offer them on the website. I’ve been using the Mobile Pixels Duex Float 2.0 Pro (2.5 K, 16”) for a couple weeks now, and I’m honestly blown away by how much easier it’s made my workflow. The screen quality is super sharp, colors pop, and the brightness holds up even in well-lit rooms. I'm leaving this review from a Delta Lounge right now! The built-in kickstand is a huge win — I can stack it above my laptop or set it next to it depending on what I’m doing. Setup is basically plug-and-play through USB-C, and it also works perfectly with HDMI when I use it with my other devices. It’s thin, light, and the design feels premium without being fragile. I travel quite a bit, and it fits easily in my backpack without adding much bulk. The dual speakers are actually decent too — not something you expect from a portable monitor, but nice to have when I’m watching something or in a quick meeting. If you use a laptop and do any kind of multitasking — spreadsheets, editing, or just managing multiple windows — this thing makes a huge difference. Only small note is to make sure your USB-C supports video output if you want one-cable simplicity. Overall, it’s one of those rare purchases that actually lives up to the hype. Solid build, great image quality, and truly improves productivity. Highly recommend it.

I cleaned with alcohol pad exactly as instructions state. Used the provided template, attached the magnets. Pressed firmly. Gave it a few minutes. Put the screen on the back of the laptop. I then go to pull the screen out, and the magnets are sliding around on the laptop lid (not adhered anymore). Manually pull the MobilePixels screen out while holding the frame, so it doesn't slide off the laptop lid. Then I open my laptop lid and the screen falls off because it's not stuck on. Put a new set of sticky pads on the magnets, and try again. Now the screen opens without sliding the magnets but when I open the laptop lid and the screen falls off again. Pull stickies off the magnets again, clean everything with alcohol again, follow the template one last time. Same exact result. Am I suppose to JB Weld the magnets onto my laptop? Terrible design. Don't waste your time with this. I never even powered it on or looked at the screen, so no idea if it's good in that way. Doesn't do what it says to begin with, so... back to Amazon.

I was looking for some time to get an extra screen when I don’t need a table to set up. That is attached straight to my laptop. I am very happy with the purchase. Setup is easy.

This is a low-resolution, budget monitor. If your laptop has a high-resolution display (as most do these days)—such as a 254 ppi, 3456 x 2234 display on a 16-inch MacBook Pro—you'll notice a stark and intolerable difference when using them side-by-side, which can be quite disappointing. The display is not suitable for reading, let alone tasks involving graphic elements. The return process is a nightmare, and they deduct a substantial fee before issuing a refund.

Do 5 stelle soprattutto per il supporto clienti, in particolare per l’assistenza ricevuta da MP. Uso un Surface Pro, che ha il kickstand integrato, e avevo difficoltà a tenerlo aperto con il monitor esterno attaccato dietro, a causa del magnete. Il dispositivo non riusciva a restare stabile, ma il team è stato davvero disponibile e mi ha inviato gratuitamente un kickstand separato per risolvere il problema. Devo dire che sono rimasto molto soddisfatto: sia per la qualità del monitor, che mi piace molto, sia per la professionalità e la disponibilità dell’azienda. Ottima compagnia e supporto impeccabile!
