Very disappointed in this tail lamp. It's a good fit, but the bulb holder does not keep it in place. Any bump on the road causes the bulb to disconnect from the electric wiring connection. Causing the break light/tail lamp bulb to go out. I wish I would have installed it sooner. Unfortunately too late to return.

These taillights fit ok, not exactly an OEM perfect fit but for a nonprofessional mechanic you wouldn’t notice the difference.

I have a Super White 2.5 gen Tacoma, and had managed to crack one of my tail lights. The OEM replacement from Toyota per light housing is more than twice what the pair of these cost. I figured I'd roll the dice since these have fairly good ratings. While the images DO show it as having an all red lens (I believe there are options for lens colors) I guess I'd forgotten or didn't remember that the OEM lenses were clear/chrome in some areas (most notably the upper signal and the brake light circle). When they arrived I immediately noted how very different they looked and wasn't sure I'd like them. As it happens when mounted it's a much cleaner look and they're plenty bright. One very notable difference is the brake light itself. The OEM uses a LED system here and this light uses a more traditional incandescent bulb (though you could use an LED bulb that plugs into the socket, which I will probably do). This will create a delta when you go to buy replacement bulbs and does introduce a potential failure point due to corrosion or socket damage/deformation. I don't think either of those are any particular issue, but will absolutely require replacements more frequently than the OEM unit would. The good news is that the incandescent bulbs and even LED bulbs are quite inexpensive and the housings are very easy to change (three 10mm bolts which are easily accessed just inside the bed and visible when the tailgate is dropped). I see no obvious quality difference between the OEM and these lenses, in fact when I pulled both of my OEM lights there was something fairly heavy loose and rattling around inside the housings despite both of them working correctly. I am impressed overall, and these housings are a very good value and, in my opinion, a better looking tail light housing than the OEM.

I called a local Toyota dealer and they gave me a price of around $150 for the Toyota part... and got this one for a small fraction of the price and the quality, fit and finish seemed identical to the original! Very easy install and works great!
