While these seemed like a lovely idea, they were absolutely useless. I purchased these because my cat has been having problems with fur balls and I also wanted to help support his health as a senior cat. I tried to give him one in his food bowl (with no food) and he was really eager to consume it but it just kept slipping out of his mouth. I contacted customer services at Vita Paws and their polite staff member suggested putting them in his food. I did this and he tried to consume the cod liver oil capsule again with no luck, it just slipped out. It went on for over half an hour at one point. They were too squidgy to bite and too slippery to get down. He got frustrated trying to eat them but really wanted to. He has a full set of healthy teeth and no health problems. I also tried with another cat and the same issue occurred.The only way I got them to be eaten was to burst open the gel coating to reveal the liquid inside. The cat licked it up quickly but only half of the product was released. This wasn't easy to do and too much of a hassle to only get half of the product out. Vita Paws were not helpful and told me the same as before. The offered compensation was to replace with another pot of the same item from their store which would be completely useless. These are a waste of money unless you are willing to completely cut open the pods (which are very smelly, worse than human cod liver oil tablets) and let your cat lick it up. My cat won't eat it.
I bought this product for my elderly cat, but she won't take it. If I open the capsule and put the content on the food, she won't eat it. So it's difficult to know if it has been of any benefit.

Cat loves!
Improved my cats dry skin. Fur so soft now aswell! Worried that my cat would not like these after reading other reviews. However she absolutely loves them! Laps the liquid up. Great.
