Brilliantly warm tactical jacket... M65
Ok here goes and I only write reviews for particularly excellent purchases and this absolutely is that for sure and my m65 giant jacket arrived today in XL and it fits me just fine and I am about 6 foot and slender build but the jacket feels ok on me with the inner liner and I usually go XL anyways but I don't think a L would have fitted me ok so yeah I think if your a XL then get that size and the jacket looks awesome it's very military but without screaming it and as for warm oooff it's warm for sure and I had to unzip it to cool me down walking the dog lol but yeah absolutely worth every penny and I admit I was very worried about the size bein wrong but it's true to size in my opinion and it feels comfortable and absolutely quality for sure and excellent value for money so yeah if you is thinking of getting one of these absolutely do not hesitate you will love it,anyways I really hope that this helps :)

Great quality, authentic looking jacket
I’d been looking at the Brandit Giant M65 for ages, I’d always wanted a field jacket and the images of this one looked spot on for my tastes with a great authentic worn look olive colour, not too over the top as if you were pretending to be in the military but just the right fashionable military look. Having searched the internet for more images of the jacket to help sway me, I was put off by the number of people modelling the jacket which appeared to be baggy and ill fitting, so I left it. Flash forward another year and I get the bug to buy a field jacket with the Brandit the best looking choice. Most reviews say to size down so I took the plunge and bought it. I’m 6 feet tall, athletic build 170/175lbs about 80kg and I got a size small. The Jacket looks flipping amazing! Snug and flattering with the lining in, still room for light layers, possibly a jumper which you wouldn’t need because the jacket is incredibly warm. More roomy without the liner but still looks great and plent of adjustability. Sleeves are just the right length when the triangular section is folded up and you can adjust the tightness with Velcro. I showed my wife the jacket and she was very impressed, stating that it looks like a £300 coat! I paid £76. The quality is fantastic at this price level, sturdy zips and poppers, even to the smallest details like the buttons that hold the liner in at the neck. I look and feel awesome wearing it. Job done Brandit 👍 I don’t quite understand the ‘size up’ reviews. Maybe some reviewers aren’t being honest with themselves about what size they really are 😉

Brandit M65 Blizzard camo.
I'm 5'11" 15st, there's a lot of debate about sizing! after a lot of reviewing, I got the Medium, Snow Blizzard camo, just arrived, 22/11/25. the size is perfect 😊 Yes it's a little snug with the zipped inner attached, without the inner it's perfect, the length, and the arm length spot on. 👍🏻 Personally I'd rather wear just a couple of layers underneath of my own choice, perhaps even three layers, (base layers) The quality is good, no issues at all. Worth the buy. 😊

Great Jacket but go a size down from your normal size.
07-11-20 Arrived literally the next day. It took me a while to decide what size to get as other customers had said to get a size down this always worries but on this occasion they were right. I’m usually an XL and plunged for a large. I’m 6’3” and weigh 17 stone and have a slight beer gut. My chest size is 46”. If you’ve got a big beer gut it’s advisable to go XL. The coat is quite heavy with the liner in, the overall quality is very good and I’m very pleased with it. The coat fits perfectly without the liner and unless you’re thinking of visiting the polar regions you’ll be fine without. It is slightly tight around the waist with the liner in but not uncomfortable just very slightly snug. Without it, it’s fine. Length wise is goes to about the top of the thigh just how it should. The arm length is long but they usually are with M65 style jackets. They do fold up onto Velcro fastenings. So it’s not really a problem. Overall it seems like a very good well made jacket. It’ll keep you dry in a light shower but if it bins it down you’ll get soaked. If it’s cold it’ll certainly keep you warm! And on top of that it looks pretty cool. Overall I’m very pleased with it, but please be aware of the sizing. Go for it!

Fit was perfect
I pondered over the size for about a week. I couldn't tell myself I was getting into a Medium so went for the Large, more worried about the "Orangutan " arms length. But it was absolutely fine. There are some weird triangle bits you can velcro back into the sleeves so I think maybe that was factored into the measurement. The quality is very nice, though a bit crumpled when you unpack. No stripes on the arms of the navy jacket. The side pockets are a bit small but the front pockets are decent. I'm 5.9. 46" chest, it's snug but not tight. 185lbs, 13½ stone for the Brits. I'm sat down and it's not tight, pulling or uncomfortable. This is gonna be warm! I got it based on a 2nd hand German tank suit I had years ago. It was off the wall warm. Be warned, with the liner ( I won't be removing it) it maybe too warm unless it's really cold. Hope this helps as some of the reviews helped me.

Great quality and super warm
Probably the best jacket I’ve ever bought. Good quality and with the lining in it’s super warm. Even without he lining it’s still warm. It’s rather bulky with the lining in but I like that, bulky with lining in and not baggier with the lining out. Looks good either way. Great jacket that will work with all seasons. I’m a muscular 6 footer with big arms, shoulder and chest and the XL fits me perfect

Probably the warmest jacket I have ever had. Cool design and a great quality. Not waterproof so don’t forget to waterseal it.

Normal XXL giyiyorum.

I am ex-military and have always enjoyed some of the army issued bush gear I had used when in the military. So I really was looking for a good basic army green military jacket. After much research on line and looking at the jackets in military surplus stores. I decided this one had all the best features in the jacket I wanted. I did not want any camouflage pattern, super tactical jacket. I wanted something that I could wear hiking on a weekend, or to work, or just walking around the city. I do like the two large breast pockets, you could pack a sandwich into each of them! The side pockets behind the lower pockets are great for putting your hands in on a cold day to keep them warm, if you happened to forgot your gloves and are just standing around waiting for the bus. The zip-in liner is very light, with a large thick plastic zipper and you can wear on its own. The main jacket shell has solid brass zipper on, with wind flap that snaps over top of it. The light hood is a nice touch and it stows away in the collar. Very nice functional design. I like the Brandit "name-tags" as they do add to the style of it. I was going to take them off, but then decided to leave them on it. As it clearly shows this is a civilian jacket upon closer inspection. I did remove the light cotton cotton draw strings that came with it, for the waist and lower edge of the jacket. I replaced them with green nylon parachute cord. Which is stronger and not as cheap feeling as the original light cotton ones. They feel like they will fall apart with age. I also sewed on some small green tactical Canadian flags on the shoulders. As I did serve in the Canadian Army..and besides they look good on the jacket 😁. I bought the jacket mainly for just the outer shell's style and function. Planning just to wear it in the late spring and during summer and early fall, without the liner. It is actually quite warm enough for wearing it that way now as I did today in mid April that without the liner, wearing a short sleeve shirt under it.. With the liner attached, it is very warm. It is a solid three season, all purpose jacket. I actually prefer this version of a military jacket, as opposed to the Canadian Army Combat Bush Jacket issued to me in the late 70's. When we had a really late winter cold snap here. I found that with wearing just a tee shirt and a light fleece shirt, under the jacket with its liner zipped in, it turned into a solid winter jacket. Very happy overall with the quality of the jacket's materials, the stitching and feel of the jacket. I find it is of quality superior to a lot of the "new faux " military jackets in military surplus stores these days. Also in trying to buy an original (1965 made) M-65 jacket, it would probably result in me getting a pretty worn out item by this time now in 2017!. This is a very nice replica. I also have had people who complimented me on it and were asking me about it. Now the hardest part of the experience of buying this jacket. that would be deciding what size to get for me. With a lot of people saying they had to order a size down. ( or a size up) I basically had to read all the reviews on the USA, UK, and Canadian Amazon websites, to figure out ,what size to order. I have usually have bought extra large in jacket sizes. As I am 6 feet tall and 205 lbs, and a 41" chest. I decided to buy the large. Figuring if it was too tight I could return and get a extra large, or too loose and too long in the arm, I could get a medium. It came fairly quickly from the UK. The Large, with the liner attached does fit me fine. As I said before I can wear a tee shirt and a thin fleece under it and it is still snug and comfortable, though some very slight restriction as a winter jacket. But I would probably would get the Extra Large one if I was weighed over 210 lbs and I definitely would if I was at 230 lbs (my old weight). So I got incentive to watch my weight now! LOL If your used to modern Gortex jackets, this one is going to feel a lot bigger with the liner inside. Its almost feels like wearing an Eskimo parka, with the thickness of the liner and jacket together. It does make you look slightly bigger. But you get used to it, though it make up for it it being a comfortable jacket that keeps you toasty warm. I found that by removing the liner, and wearing a medium or thin fleece under the outer jacket. This made it feel less heavy, more flexible, giving you the best of both worlds of the old and new materials for warmth and lightness. Great for a day out hiking. The draw strings are good to keep the drafts out and for keeping the jacket snug. In wearing just the outer shell for warmer days, it's a relaxed fit on me without the liner. The length of the arms is about a 1/2 " longer then I would like, when the liner is removed, but not really an issue. I will probably be keeping this jacket for a long time. I recommend buying it as it is one of the best cotton army style bush jackets out there. P.S. the picture of me in the jacket is with the liner removed and you can see how the arm sleeves are a little long. With the liner installed they pull up more. update 2018-09-19: I am still enjoying jacket great all year round jacket. No issues with the quality of the materials Update 2021-04-02: been wearing this jacket all 4 season, still enjoying it. I find many people ask about it when they see me wearing it. Its actually outlasted some Helly Hansen hiking jacket I had owned (manufacturing defects)! The cotton jacket material is probably not as thick or as tough as the orginal M-65 jacket. I rate it at 85% of the orginal cloth quality. This shows as my sleeve cuff edges wore through. I repaired by reinforcing the broken cloth edges with needle and thread. Other then that its been washed several times and gets better with age. I could get another 5 years out of it. Still a great all year round jacket. I do use the orginal insulated liner. But 80% of the time I wear it without or a thin or thick synthetic fleece depending Improvements. On the outer shell others have mentioned it should have an inside inner pocket zippered for walket or passport or phone(to keep it warm) in cold temperatures. Hood could be made a little bigger and a second layer of the same hood cloth or inner insulation layer for head warmth. The existing hood is like having almost nothing in your head to protect you from the elements. Even when you have a winter hat on.
