Great budget EDC
For what it is, it's worth the price. Sharp enough (but feel free to make it sharper yourself), lightweight, and good quality. Save your money and buy this knife instead of a Benchmade. After buying this, I don't see a reason for me personally to get a Benchmade (that's just me).

Inexpensive edc knife, yet works fine for me.
This edc knife is a fine quality item at a fraction of the cost of a name brand bugout knife. It's sharp out of the box and is thin and lightweight. This will be my everyday front pocket carry knife for the future.

Very nice overall. Great value.
The knife arrived in a small black non descriptive box wrapped in plastic with the item description. The knife looked great out of the box, nice carbon fiber and blue anodized colors. I liked that it had no branding or markings of the knife it was inspired by. The knife weighed exactly 2 ounces on my food prep digital scale. The action was gritty. The knife is not on bronze washers which was a little disappointing. I like washers on a knife I intend to carry outdoors. Just my personal preference. A few drops of KPL and 30 minutes of fidgeting and the action was very smooth. One screw became loose and I used blue thread locker to secure it. If you buy one, lock tite them or monitor them closely. The blade was not very sharp, a few minutes on the Work Sharp field sharpener and it was good to go. Blade is not exactly centered and slightly favors presentation scale side. Squeezing the scales very firmly, I saw minimal flex which is nice. I put some blue painters tape on the back of the 8CR blade and gave it a spine test to check the strength of the lock. It passed, no issues with the crossbar lock. 8CR is equivalent to AUS8 and a decent steel for a knife in this budget. Overall very pleased. I would recommend the purchase. Looking at the big picture, it is a great value when considering the knife it is inspired by in CF variant retails for $288 dollars. Took off 1 star for slightly off center blade and sharpening. I hope this review is helpful to you.

Better than my real Benchmade in some ways
I got this knife for $38.00 and it's just insane how nice it is for that amount of money. In some ways it's even nicer than my real Benchmade 940-1. That's a different knife design but it also has a carbon fiber handle and the same kind of locking mechanism (the Axis lock.) On my real Benchmade, the is not centered when the knife is closed. It arrived uncentered and I've tried to center it, but have never been able to, despite fully disassembling and rebuilding the knife. This is a common problem with Benchmade knives. This clone (of the Benchmade Bugout) came perfectly centered. Another difference is that on my real Benchmade, the screws that hold the carbon fiber scales on to the knife are too long, so they protrude into the space between the two sides of the handle. This isn't hugely noticeable, but on a $300 knife we expect better. This clone has screws that are the correct length and don't protrude. The pocket clip was too stiff, but you could adjust that easily. I just replaced it with a genuine Benchmade clip that I had laying around. You can also purchase aftermarket clips that will fit this knife. You can even get titanium clips in nice colors, like a blue one that will match the blue thumbstud and back spacer. Deployment of the blade was a little stiff when it arrived, but a drop of oil fixed that and so will a little time. Speaking of the blade, that's the big question here. What steel is it really? And how good of a heat treatment did they give it? Will it hold an edge? Answer: Who knows? And you know what? For $38 bucks I was totally willing to gamble. This knife feels great in the hand and it's a lot of fun. Highly recommended.

Blade play out of box
This knife came sharp and is relatively light at 2.2 oz. on my postal scale. It weighs .2 or .3 ozs heavier than the blue one. So it is heavier (a little) than described. It (also like the blue one) had blade play out of the box. In order to eliminate the play, I had to tighten up the pivot screw to a point where there was no more "free swing" to the blade when the lock is compressed. So it is now only able to open and close with the thumb studs or pressure on the blade to close it. I can still use it but not like my other cross bar lock folders. Usable, but not what I expected, so I give it 3 stars for sharpness and lightness.

I am impressed.
I was not expecting much out of this knife for the price. Once I opened the box and held it in my hand I was impressed. It is really light weight. The blade is a really nice size. It feels good in the hand. Its real carbon fiber. The action of the knife is really good. The only issue is the knife clip. Its really stiff which is good and bad. its hard to get in the pocket but it will not be lost easy. This knife is a clone of a benchmade bugout at a quarter of the price. It is a solid knife at a great price. The knife steel seems hard. I don't know what kind of steel it is but its not soft steel. It should hold an edge for a while. It has ball bearing washers so the action is great. I would defiantly buy this knife again.

This is a high quality knife
This is a great knife. Out of the box it is very sharp and shave ready. It has absolutely 0 blade slop and it’s dead center open and shut. There is no way you can go wrong with this knife especially at this price point. This is the second knife I purchased from the seller and though I was a little apprehensive at first, those concerns are gone.

Lots of potential
Solid for the cost ($26) I purchased it for. The carbon fiber is definitely gritty and the action was a little bit as well, but not much. Nice and rigid and acceptably sharp. The secret is that if you are willing and capable of disassembling it and lapping the carbon fiber and internals a bit to smooth it out, it easily feels like a knife worth more than MSRP ($40 at time of this review). As a tinkerer, I'm impressed with what was just beneath the surface. However, that keeps it from 5 stars as the carbon fiber grit really was a turn-off until addressed.
