So ... I recently had a several month long battle with an army of invading moths. (See my review for Cedar Space cedar blocks for the full story.)These winged demons from the depths of hell tried to takeover my apartment and destroy everything that I hold dear to my heart and/or wasted my hard-earned money on.These flying monsters managed to eat holes in my socks, sweatshirts, tee shirts, and my favourite wool-knit sweater that I've had for nearly thirty years.They nested in my closet, rugs, blankets, towels, and even my cats' trees, beds, and toy buckets. My cats still haven't forgiven me for trashing all of their favourite catnip mice. (Christmas is coming soon, so I will have to make it up to them.)At first I used moth balls but those are toxic to cats. My cats were puking all over the place as a result. That was fun.Subsequently I tried several other brands of cedar sachets and balls but none worked well enough to rid my life of the flying anxiety attacks hellbent on a mission to destroy everything that I own.I was nearly ready to throw in the now swiss cheese of a towel when I decided to purchase the Cedar Space cedar blocks. Within a week of use, the problem corrected itself by about seventy-five percent, and I started finding moth corpses everywhere I had placed a cedar block.I purchased another set, and additionally, these cedar blocks with hangers for the closet.They are well made, and assembly is easy. You just screw the hook into the predrilled holes. The scent remains and doesn't dissipate quickly like other brands. They also fit quite nicely in between clothes.I fully intend to make additional purchases of the blocks, including these with hangers for the closet. They work better than advertised.It is as if God himself fashioned these blocks from a cedar tree from the garden of eden.I definitely give Cedar Space five of five stars.

These hanging cedar blocks are perfect! I have a number of woolen clothing items that are on hangers and these slip easily on the accessory hook or bar of the clothes hanger. Highly recommend!

Items came out in nice box with all the attachments. Easy to hang up behind the windows rod with the supplies attachments or insertinside of the drawers.

These compact eastern red cedar wood planks are also multifunctional can be placed in drawers, put in shoes, attached to storage bags, or anywhere else you desire.PROS: A great natural alternative for combating moisture and protecting your delicate garments form insects.CONS: The cedar scent may be extremely subtle and requires additional sanding to bring out the fragrance.FUNCTION: (2.5 Stars) The cedar plank will definitely function as advertise providing an alternative and natural way to help keep your cloths smelling fresh and providing a measure of protection from harmful insects. However, the amount of scent from each plank varies and some of them will need to be refreshed before you are able to smell the fragrance. Be advised that if you are planning to use cedar wood in small containers and/or drawers as part of your wool garment long-term storage plan, you may not want to have extremely strong-smelling plank. The wool garments may end up absorbing the strong cedar fragrance and may be difficult to get out.DESIGN: (2.5 Stars) At an overall length of 9.4 inches and a width of 1.85 inches, these planks are designed to be multifunctional. This means that you can either hang them in the closet, place in them in drawers, or used in various storage needs. The only issue I had with the planks is that they all have grooves, which causes a bit more work when it is time to refresh them.MATERIAL: (4 Stars) The planks appear to be eastern red cedar wood planks. This fact was confirmed when I refreshed one of the planks and notice how potent the scent became after it was dry.RELIABILITY: (3 Stars) The planks do give off a nice cedar scent and should last for some time. The frequency that these planks need to be refreshed depends on the size of your storage space/container and your mileage may vary.PRICE: (2.5 Stars) For $25, I found them to be on pricey side, especially since I had to refresh a few of the planks. In my opinion, a better price point for this product would be $20.Overall, the Cedar Space Cedar Blocks is a good natural alternative to help protect your delicate garments free from insect damage and, at the same time, keep your closet or draw smelling fresh.Total Star Rating: 2.9 (14.5 points of a possible 25)

There was absolutely no cedar smell to these hangers . The hangar part had to be screwed into the cedar blocks . They did not screw in. I had to use wood clue to secure them. Not a good buy.

These are well made, attractive and nice smelling cedar blocks that can be placed in drawers or hung with enclosed hangers to protect your woolens in the closet.

The cedar bars were high quality and had a very strong scent.You do have to attach the hook for hanging yourself but it was pretty easy since the wood is soft.

T Cedar blocks are lovely, the fragrance mild. One of the hooks has no screw threads. Please see attached picture. I am therefore unable to attach it to the block.
