Awesome and unique product and a crowd pleaser as well :D
Having never owned a bike trailer of any description, I literally read every review and blog related to the Travoy before I purchased this expensive item. I wanted to make sure it was the best option available for my needs, and after using it a couple of times, I think it definitely is. I just got back into cycling and converted my hybrid into an ebike. I chose the Travoy instead of investing in a rear rack and panniers. I just rode 50km yesterday and didn't have a problem with the Travoy, you really have to keep checking behind you or your shadow to make sure it is still there, as you don't even notice it. I have gone up and down curbs without any issues. It loses a star because the Tote bag can rub against the wheels if it is loaded with a wide item. I saw one guy create little cardboard side rails to protect the bag. Also, I believe all the market/transit bags are too expensive, especially because they are not waterproof. The way I have mine set up now, I have my old Osprey Atmos 35 backpack at the bottom of the Travoy, with the upper compression straps twisted around the metal of the travoy and then I buckle them. The aluminium back frame on some of the Osprey models are perfect for the Travoy, as the rigidity really helps it stay in place. If I need more storage, I can remove the Tote bag from inside the Atmos, and attach it to the top section so I easily have 75L of storage without spending a dollar on bags, but I will need to buy some rain covers.Initially the quick release was really hard to use. I was really struggling to get it out the first few times. I used a little bit of chain oil to lube it up and now it is a breeze to unclip.I also bought the Joubert Smart Bungee system thinking that would be needed to attach my Osprey (or larger Gregory Baltoro) but so far I haven't used them, but would recommend using your own bags and bungees as a good option instead of buying the expensive bags.I wish there was some sort of security so you could leave it with your bike, but the beauty of the trailer is you can carry heavy chains with no problem. I bought an Abus 8KS Chain 8mmx110cm and while I haven't used it to secure the Travoy yet, I could easily loop it around the Travoy and my bike frame. One day, I was only carrying a few things so I took the Atmos backpack on my back instead of the Travoy. It felt like such a hassle riding with a backpack, you lose a lot of freedom of movement. I really don't see myself riding much with a backpack again, taking the Travoy is so much easier. The Travoy definitely gets noticed quite a bit, it is a conversation starter, as I think I am probably the only person in Melbourne, Australia with a Travoy. When the weather is better, I definitely see a first date involving bike rides and a picnic being lots of fun and easy to pull off :D

Tremendous! One of my best buys ever.
According to Amazon, I've had this trailer for 4 years now. Wow!As of today, I use the trailer about twice a week to shop for and haul groceries. The trailer is super easy to detach from my bike, and convenient to wheel around US super-markets. I throw stuff in, roll the "hand cart" up to the checkout, dig things out and put them on the belt, then move to the front to bag my own purchase and put things into the trailer in proper order. My only worry is heavy stuff on the bottom.I have had the usual wheel/bag friction problems, but I haven't done anything to fix them. I just got in the habit of packing my groceries to avoid the issue. (I buy a lot of the same stuff each week, so once I found the pattern I just stuck with it.)A few years back, I stepped on the bottom of the trailer coming down stairs. This caused the "kickstand" to collapse. I uncollapsed it, and used some coated wire to hold it in place. I don't ever use the fold-up feature, so this isn't an issue for me.Also a few years back, I had some flat tires. Buying replacements is a bit of a pest, since you have to make sure and get the bent valve stems. I bought some "Mr. Tuffy" teflon wheel protectors, and cut them to length, and I haven't had any problems since then.I love the trailer hitch on this thing. It's small, and light, so when you're not using the trailer, there is very little impact on the bike itself.Like a lot of people, I have explored various extra attachments on the trailer in terms of storage capacity and protection. At this point, I'm not worried about weatherproofing the trailer since the grocery store nicely gives me plastic bags. (And many groceries are weatherproof already. Most fruits come with a handy protective skin, for example...) The stock bag, a bungee netting, and a duffel bag are enough to solve most issues. I can't imagine hauling more volume without exceeding the weight limits, and I live close enough to the grocery that two trips is always an option. (Usually when buying the giant economy pack of towels or toilet paper.)If you have a full-size bike, and you're wondering if you can "haul stuff," I strongly recommend that you look at this trailer FIRST. The only thing I've found that you can't haul on this trailer is hot pizza - the toppings would slide off due to the lack of a level surface!

Incredibly useful and functionally designed
Needed a cart for work which could be taken into work. This cart/trailer is an absolute perfect solution.Light weight. And when you read light weight, it will actually surprise you. I still can't believe how light it feels when carrying.Quick mount, quick folding, sturdy, and stable when standing. The ability to fold into the actual bag it carries demonstrates just how comprehensive this was designed. It tracks beautifully when pulling behind a bike. Doesn't bounce when empty and handles weight great.Extra bags and accessories are expensive as expected from Burley but they make it worth the value. Truly an amazing cart / trailer. Totally replacing my other cart except for the 80 lb limit which is seldom actually going to be a limit. That was an appropriate wight limit to insure the overall experience was superb.I have two improvement requests although neither detracts from my total satisfaction. I have not yet determined where to mount my flasher. I ride at night and the bike flash is more blocked than other lower two wheeled carts. I am sure I will find a place soon. The other would be a quick install option. The quick release provided is excellent if you can leave the mount on the bike. I bought two mounts knowing I was going to use this on two bikes. But if you want to loan this to a friend or switch to another bike, it would be nice if there was a quick release mount that could be moved between bikes without tools. If you can afford this quality of a bike cart / trailer, I absolutely recommend this when appropriate for needs. Let it increase your bike trips to the grocery store, hardware store, or to work. Bike and be happy.

This is one of those products that will enhance your life.
Great trailer. It will require you to adapt your riding style bit it’s so light and smooth it is easy to forget you’re towing anything. To you will have to train yourself a bit. It’s a fantastic solution for running around and doing your weekly shop. No more parking issues and killing the planet with car fumes. Because most supermarkets will allow it inside you will no longer have to lug heavy panniers if you need to visit more that one shop. Something I find invaluable.I’m considering getting rid of my car.

Sehr empfehlenswert!

The best shopping cart I've ever had and I've had several that broke but I know this one won't...
From the picture of the Travoy it looked like it would be a very solidly built item and I'm very pleased with it. I don't have a bike but I use it only for shopping. I have had many shopping carts over the years and they all ended up breaking. I saw a woman with one while I was shopping at a Food Basics. I was so impressed with the Travoy I asked her about it but she only spoke French so what I did was take the name of the cart and Google it. I found it on Amazon.ca and have been watching it for a price drop over the last 6 months. I wanted the yellow one which was more expensive then there was a price drop to $329 but there was a one day sale of $279 and I bought it as soon as I saw the price. I know that this will last me for years and I'm very pleased with everything about it.I was in a burger shop yesterday on my way shopping with it and was asked about it. The man's grandmother like me has had several carts break over the years and he saw right away that it was like nothing he had ever seen before. I told him about it and how pleased I was with it and that it was on amazon.ca so I'm sure there will be another sale because he told his friends when he saw it that it would be worth between $300 - $400 and I told him that it was worth every penny I paid.

Burley Design could have done better. I could have done better too.
It's very smooth when hand pulling trailer however, on a bike it's more bouncy, as is expected. It's also rather flimsy in its build quality. The tow bar is to high and makes mounting and dismounting a challenge (Burley could have easily lowered this a few inched). Mine was dented out of the box. Not a biggie however, for $330.00 in Canada, this could, and should be, far better. I needed one quickly so I drop the money on this knowing there are less expensive trailers available. I would never recommend this trailer. It's just way over priced.

Expensive but the best on the market
Expensive but well built. Not sure how the product will last but I have ridden my bike with this trailer and so far I am very impressed with how well the trailer rides with my bike. I find myself not needing to take my car for short trips and groceries given the extra utility this trailer provides my bike.
