Brilliant - the hoggies love it!
The media could not be loaded. Excellent quality and really well packaged for shipping. Cannot fault at all. I’ve had two male hogs arguing over the same house, so the answer was obviously to buy a second!Perfect fit under my potting bench too, was meant to be! 🦔

Mostly happy, but....
I've purchased several Hog boxes and feeders from Riverside Woodcraft, and will no doubt continue to do so, as they are well made boxes. That is, apart from the floor. The floor is the weakest link, and will rot after several seasons. The flooring wood is not as thick as it used to be, and I find I have to make wooden platforms to place the boxes on to extend their durability. It would be much better if the flloor was also made from the same plastic material that the roof is made from.

Excellent Hog House
Absolutely fab, my one constructive comment is that I wish the entrance way was on the other side due to where I want to site it, but its not a bad problem, just a bit inconvenient. The actual thing altogether is really big and spacious, the pictures don't really do it justice. The roof has withstood all the horrible rain that we have just had and I've not spotted any leaks anywhere. Our local hoggie called Spike has had a nosy around (I put some shredded paper and some wet leaves in there along with a bit of hay) so I'm just waiting to see if we get a hoggy hibernation later this year....Communication with the seller was also excellent and they replied to an email within a day.Highly recommended seller and item

Buy this lovely house and show that you care about our endangered hedgehogs
Very nice, and now has a hedgehog visitor so even better. Only thing is that lid slightly swells in the rain and the side catch is then stiff to lift off it's hook. However, the facility with which you can open the box and put in food is excellent. I have the box on a concrete slab to help prevent rot, but the little feet on the box lift it off the ground anyway. The labyrinth opening is good. I would thoroughly recommend this and urge you to buy hedgehog house as hedgehogs are so endangered. Incidentally, you should also make sure a hedgehog can pass from your garden into others, via a hole in your fence. If hedgehogs can't move around back gardens (which they have to do for food and to mate) they try to get out of your garden via your front and also then try to cross roads, with the inevitable and sad results. Please show you care and make holes in the base of your fences.

I couldn't be happier. We have had hogs visiting our garden to ...
Well what a success this turned out to be! The house is built really well, and the fact that it is lifted slightly off the ground by 'feet' so it can't get waterlogged is a real plus for my garden. I contacted a Tiggywinkles who advised me to put some dried leaves/dried moss and, ideally, a few handfuls of hay in the house to encourage the hogs to give it a try. So I scavenged some hay from a field (none of this pre-treated stuff from pet shops) and duly made a cosy bed, with a couple of extra handfuls dotted around the outside of the house, should any residents wish to top up on my efforts (as also advised by Tiggywinkles. Three days later and I have a resident! I couldn't be happier. We have had hogs visiting our garden to be fed (I use Chapelwood hedgehog food) for a couple of years but they live across the road - now I seem to have convinced one to stay with me :-)

Would highly recommend.
Lovely hedgehog house, very large. Lots of room Inside and the way it is made is solid, rain proof and nothing else can get in. Very large nesting space. I have no nesting hogs as of yet (two days since it arrived) even though they eat in front of it every night. Very well made and treated product. Would highly recommend.

Sturdy and well made
Have got it set up with some bedding but missed tye chance of our resident hedgehog moving in this winter, This may be a bit small for some large male hedgehogs that we see in our gardens but that could just be a matter of opinion, I will hope that once spring arrives we will have a resident and see who fits 😎

Well built box
This is the second Eco house we have ordered and the third box from this company. It arrived very quickly, was well packaged and was perfect for our hedgehog needs. It is very sturdy and well made. Updated slightly in that it no longer has a screw down roof but has a loop and clip which is actually easier to open for checking on the residents. It was filled with straw and sited same day as receiving it. Very pleased.
