Mine worked for a few weeks. now i start my car, the green light flashes and records for 10 minutes. green light goes solid and stops recording. why?

It indicates its card error since its led light goes solid. And suggest that change a Samsung or Sandisk High endurance cards for this dashcam. Or you format your card as FAT32 by Windows computer. (If 64Gb card you use,please format it as FAT32 with Guiformat tool by Windows computer,by the way,you can download this format tool in our official website.)

How long will camera stay on/motion activate work, after car is off?

It will shut down as soon as car is turned off.

do i need to connect to the app everytime i want it to work, or i can just connect to my app when i want to see the video?

It automatically starts recording when it powers on, no need to connect the app. For reviewing footage I find it easier to just pull the card it and check the files on a computer.
