Sketch pads Only!
The media could not be loaded. Here's the skinny. These are 'artists' pencils. Not made for ordinary paper. I Love them!

Great alternative for students who write hard.

Interesting to use. I’m not sure it is a pencil, but you can mark with it.
As a novelty, this is excellent. It does indeed mark similar to a pencil. But don’t expect dark printing. It leaves a rather faint mark that is difficult to see in low light.I’m also not thrilled with the rather top-heavy balance, or the large cap. Apparently the lines can be erased, but I’ve not rounded up anything to give it a try. It would be nice if there was an eraser built into the top end, like a real pencil.I’ll also comment that though there are extra nibs in case you need to replace the original I’m sure I will have no idea where they might be if that need arises. It would be nice if the extra could be stored inside the pencil shaft. As for what I really like? Of course it’s nice to think it could last a lifetime. And it’s pretty cool to write without the point disappearing. So far the best surprise was that I used it as a scribe to mark where I needed to hang a series of decor pieces. It left a bit of a mark, but the best was that it was able to start a hole for the nails to go in. That was handy for areas that were a bit difficult to reach.Overall, it is fun and useful.

Ok…
I’m glad I don’t have to constantly sharpen the pencil for my kids but it doesn’t write dark…you’ll have to push hard but then it chipped.

Very impressed
These pencils are very cool and are always sharp and ready to go, no need to find lead for them or a sharpener. The white one looks so much like my Apple pen I have mistaken it for it more than once, rest assured I did not use it on my iPad at all so no worries. These ones as compared to some retractable one that I have as well, are a bit nicer to use as the tips are not as fine or sharp. They are just a little bit smoother and gentler on your paper. So if you were to use these on a softer paper like a recycled paper it wouldn't tear it or dent into it as my retractable ones do. These ones are smoother writing and a tad less fine of a tip although still fine as a very sharp pencil would be. I like them also because if you press harder with these they don't break the tip off like lead pencils do. Love the colors of them and that they are made out of metal, giving them a really nice feel and heft in your hand when using them. Very glad they have replacement nibs that come with them as well. My favorite one is the aqua one or blue one, and i really like that they look like an apple pencil too!!

Surprisingly effective
I ordered these on a whim, thinking that there was no way that these could work as advertised. I was wrong.I spend time in the field recording wildlife sightings and making notes in a journal regarding images that I have taken. Using a regular pencil is OK, but breaking a pencil tip is inconvenient when you don't have a sharpener in the field. Mechanical pencils are equally OK, but they, too, tend to have fragile tips and can break in rugged environments. The AUAUY pencil is solid. There are no mechanisms to break and the tip seems to be pretty rugged. Short of dropping them onto a hard surface tip first, these seem like they will hold up well. If you look at the image I have attached, there is not a lot of difference between the darkness of this pencil with that of a standard Number 2. It's a little lighter, but it's insignificant. I have tried writing with this on several paper types - Notepad, Printer, and a published Field Guide - with equal success.I really recommend these.

Gimmick Item
Thought it was cool and wish I could rate higher. Writing will he extremely light and difficult to read- even with heavy pressure.
