Lucas Oil 10915 Extreme Duty CLP - 4 Ounce

I recently used Lucas Oil Extreme Duty CLP to clean my very dirty compensator, and I have to say, I’m thoroughly impressed. The cleaning power of this product is outstanding—it cut through the built-up grime and residue with ease, leaving the metal spotless and looking like new. One of my favorite things about this CLP is that it doesn’t have a strong or unpleasant smell. In fact, it has a mild, almost pleasant scent, which is a huge plus compared to other products I’ve used in the past. Working with it was a much more enjoyable experience because of this. Overall, I highly recommend Lucas Oil Extreme Duty CLP. Whether you’re dealing with a dirty compensator or general firearm maintenance, it’s a reliable product that gets the job done without overwhelming your senses. Great product!

Used during a disassembly cleaning, but not an excessive amount, and by the next day it had noticeably made the slide of my handgun easier to manually reciprocate. This product is a penetrant so it “creeps”, traveling in and around metal surfaces. So it will cover everything, and this quality is one reason it is a good lubricant. I’d strongly suggest wearing nitrile gloves because it will also penetrate you. As they say, “If it’s on you, it’s in you.” Oils, greases, and other chemicals, absorb into your skin and then your liver has to deal with them, and it’s up against enough as is, for more read “liver rescue” by Anthony William. Petroleum based products such as this are bad for humans. This product smells. The liquid vaporizes and has some fumes-warns of this on the package-so it is best to use somewhere ventilated if possible. I don’t like the chemical smell of this stuff (it still smelled the next day), and I also like it touching my skin. But it works well for its intended purpose.

Love Lucas products! Great cleaner, and if you want a super thin lube, would work for that as well. Oh, and it smells wonderful!

This does not seem to do the best job for cleaning carbon. Carbon does not seem to dissolve very well especially if it's been a minute before cleaning. If you are cleaning after every range trip it will do the job adequately. Where this product really shines for me is as a general maintenance product. A quick wipe down with this leave your slide looking nice and clean. No super oily residue to pick up grit and grime. This also protects very well from environmental conditions.

Only CLP I use. It gets the job done at a good price for my Glocks and S&W pistols. Recommended.

Nice oil in a handy container. Purchased to remove very slight rust markets on a blued gun barrel. Worked like a charm with some 0000 steel wool. Coated barrel after and hope to arrest the problem in the future. Happy with purchase and would buy again.

This stuff works amazing and smells great too, no heavy solvent smell. Works amazing in actions and barrels when removing copper isn't a concern.
