Cant go out and pitch your Vapor Light 2 XL without your footprint! OK, Maybe at a pristine beach you could get away with it, but consider shells, consider sticks, sharp rocks. Tents are mostly pitched on rough ground, hardly on pristine sand or grass. I feel it is a necessity, why buy a tent a pass up an opportunity to increase its longevity and durability. It does its job, it protects the integrity of your tent floor. You can buy a tarp, custom fit the tarp to the size of your floor, add the tie downs and cut your cost if your the DYI type. If you pass on the footprint, i recommend the DYI footprint, your tent will thank you! Cheers

Hard to give a good review as I only used it once so far. But it did protect the bottom of my tent from getting soiled as I used it on a primitive campsite. But admittingly I feel much better having a footprint under my tent now. I was glad I was able to find it on Amazon as the tent is a discontinued model from Sierra Design.

My Vapor Light 2XL floor seemed a little thin. I read reviews of the floor wearing out quickly. I didn't take any chances and I bought this footprint before using my tent. It fits perfectly and is easy to attach to the tent. I used my tent extensively last season and the floor seems as good as new.

I thought it will fit my tent (sierra designs vapor light 1-person ultralight backpacking tent), but it couldn't. shorter and narrower! is it really vapor light 2-person footprint? I have to use it as picnic mat...

Light, durable, easy to use, properly fitted to the tent. Comes with jake's foot attachments, as it should (not as pictured).
