Northside Copeland JR Shoe (Little Kid/Big Kid)

Initially, the fit was way too tight, undersized and very uncomfortable. (I made him wear it anyway.) It took a few days for the uppers to soften and for shoe to break-in. Now, my son loves the shoes because they are comfortable, have good grip and the laces are durable. I'd buy them again.Update: 2 months later.After exactly 2 months to the day, the soles are worn out. By worn out I mean I can see/feel the inside of the shoe through the sole. My son wore a quarter size hole through the heal and the ball of the sole. Thinking back... it only took about a month for my son to wear out the treads to where the balls were smooth. The upper portion of the shoe is still intact and not falling apart like other users have commented.I don't think I would buy them again because they didn't last longer than 2 months.

Buying shoes on the internet isn't for everyone, but it sure is convenient when it works. These were for my 11yo son, who goes through athletic shoes unbelievably fast. These arrived, and we compared the sizing to his prior pair. These fit according to stated size or just a tad smaller ... or perhaps the prior pair just fit large. My son has narrow to average feet, and he likes these. He says they do not slide at all on his heel.The outer seems good quality, looking nice enough for jeans and not overly bright or eye-catching, making them reasonable everyday wear. After two weeks of nearly everyday wear, they are still looking brand new. Some cheaper brands would already be showing wear, and these are not. We would definitely look into this brand again if these continue to hold up this well. Great buy for us.

Shoes were great quality. Sturdy and durable, but the fit was at least one size smaller than actual size.I just did an exchange and the whole process has been good.

These shoes look alot nicer in person. They are darker than the picture shows. The sole is flexible, yet has a rugged tread - good for hiking paths, although they definitely are not a boot and will get burs or foxtails in them if walking through grasses.My 4.5 yr old really likes these shoes.

My son really likes these. No idea what the life span of these shoes is though because he out grew them in a couple months. They still look great though and he can be really tough on shoes.Now we are buying mens size 8 1/2 but if he could still wear their shoes we would definitely buy from these guys again.

This is the poorest quality shoe that I have ever purchased. It has completely fallen apart in 3 months and wasn't even worn everyday. It has a thin, cheap foam insert which is the only layer protecting the foot from the hard, spikey sole of the shoe. My son can feel the ridges of the sole an it's painful. The material on the toes also pulls away from the shoe from the beginning. I could go on and on about the poor quality of these shoes but I think I've summed it up. I would never buy this brand again. Total crap!

My son's only issue wearing these are that he can't tie his shoes on his own. Otherwise he can wear them all day without any issues.
