There is an exception to every rule...
The media could not be loaded. Shoutout to Luke at the Outdoor Gear Review. I bought this immediately, based on his recommendation.FYI, if you order this, know that it's shipped from China. However, the wait time wasn't too bad. I ordered it January 9th, it shipped the same day, and I received it January 17th.I've had a bunch of knives from China that were generally just okay, coming in nondescript boxes. But this knife is head and shoulders above all of them. It comes in a fairly nice presentation box with a sleeve over it, along with a cleaning cloth, a Petrified Fish sticker (giving their website), and a little Ziploc baggie with 2 extra screws in case you want to remount the boot clip to the other side. The knife also comes in a Ziploc baggie. Folded, it is about 4.50", extended it is about 7.75" (7.91"), so it almost has a 3.50" (3.35") blade. It's not too heavy, compared to some I have in this size. It is a thin-style knife, and fits in the hand real well; and with kind-of rounded edges, is comfortable to hold. It appears to be made of a composite material identified as G10, which is a synthetic knife handle material made of woven fiberglass fabric and epoxy resin. It is strong and durable, while also being lightweight. It doesn't absorb water, which makes it a good outdoor knife. There is a lanyard hole. There is a very sturdy stainless-steel boot clip (which can be mounted to the other side if you're left-handed).The pivot is designed with ceramic ball bearings, and has a real smooth operation. One side of the pivot has the Petrified Fish logo (PF) on it.The 0.14" blade is touted as being made of D2 tool steel, which is an air-hardened, high carbon, high chromium steel with high wear and abrasion resistance; which can be heat treated and has a hardness of 60 HRC. The flipper is ridged, making it easy for your thumb to latch on it to open the knife. One side of the flipper has inscribed the type of steel used (D2), and the other side has the model number inscribed on it (868). The top of the blade also has a nice-sized, very functional thumb notch on it, if you like to open your knives that way.So, yeah, this knife really surprised me, especially at the price-point it's being offered at. It's a sturdy, well-made knife, and a really good deal. Buy it now before the price goes up.

At 5 ounces, this is one impressive edc!
This is my third P.F., an ordered "Hourglass" (2+ weeks ago, high demand I guess), a "mini-Beluga" and this "Bunta". I have many top brands and favorites that are outstanding but these P.F.'s do compete admirably. On to the Bunta. Quite impressive. It has good weight, solid build, great ergos, sharpness and obvious great workmanship and Q.C.What most impressed me was the action. Some have mentioned it being "rough" to open which for me wasn't the case. The fullers edge for me is not nearly as sharp as some have mentioned. The flipper, the same.It snaps open and it drops so smoothly it was obviously tuned perfectly and the blade was centered and sharp. I like the blade shape/geometry, and it is ground evenly. Unique enough to be different, good cutting edge. The materials are well chosen to keep this in the budget range at $30 +or-.Highly recommend! Petrified Fish looks like a force to be reckoned with

Very stout blade, a bit heavy but otherwise great!
I'm so impressed by the quality of PF knives. So much so that I've already gotten 4 of them.Only gripe about this model is that the blade is quite thick at 3.6mm, which makes it beefy enough to baton through small wood. But it does weigh things down.Otherwise it's a great and very functional knife. The back flipper is silky smooth, and easier to operate than the front flippers.

Maybe my favorite pocket knife, price no object.
The handle is big enough to be comfortable in work, the blade is thick and strongly built and of good quality steel. The clip has a solid attachment and is well shaped; it can be switched to the other handle scale for southpaws but can't be reversed.Every time i use it i like it more. This is a grwat deal, especially at a good price.

My new favorite!
I love the blade shape of this knife. The action is very smooth to open. It also feels great in my hand. The blade was perfectly centered and very sharp. Very good knife!

Great Value & Good For EDC
I must say, for a Knife that was $32.99, this Knife is well designed & built. It was sharp, but not Razor sharp. I did the proverbial Paper slice test & it did decently well. I did the Redneck sharp test by shaving some Hair off my Arm, & it did Ok, but not Razor sharp as some have indicated. A few passes on the Strop made it Razor sharp. It shaves with very little effort now. The flipper was good, but I took it apart & cleaned it up & lubed it up (I'm a little OCD) about my Knives LOL. It's Butter smooth now. The Pocket Clip is one of the best "Deep Pocket" Clips that I've ever seen in a budget Knife. It literally disappears in your Pocket. I'm extremely satisfied with this Knife thus far. Time will tell to the longevity of it, but I'm optimistic & at this price point, you can't go wrong. If you're on the Fence about picking this Knife up, get it. You won't be disappointed.
