I love me a good Old Fashioned and I like making them fresh, but sometimes you don't have the time or ingredients handy (especially when camping). This little mixer is the ticket and makes a very passable drink when paired with a quality bourbon.

I purchased and waited 2 weeks for my party. Opened it up and made cocktails. People began to complain it had a funny tase. First, I thought maybe the alcohol??? Nope I tasted that. I went to your syrup, and it tasted like it had a bacteria growth taste in it. I stopped everyone from drinking the mix drink. I wanted to return for my money back since it was not cheap and I was told "No", due to no returns.This is why I do not like to purchase food type items from Amazon. Other syrup I purchased was fantastic.So it's not me...something is not right with this syrup.

This is perfect for travel cocktails or anyone who doesn't want to be bothered trying to make everything from scratch. All the spices and Bitters are included so just add your Bourbon and rye and you're ready to rock.

I make a lot of cocktails from scratch and old fashioneds are not hard, but I don't use a lot of simple syrup and homemade syrup seems to go bad on me in the fridge, so I sometimes like to have commercial products around since they seem to last longer. This mix has some spices incorporated and also bitters, so you just need to mix with your bourbon and rye and off you go. I like to mix cocktails like this in a glass mixing pitcher, add ice, stir, and strain into rocks glasses and add a new large ice cube. I made 2 at once this way, following the recipe on the bottle. Since you only need 1/4 ounce per 2 ounce of bourbon/rye, the 8 ounce bottle will indeed yield 32 total cocktails. I garnished with an expressed orange peel, which, if you are not doing, start! it will elevate your cocktail game. The resulting drink was nice and strong and not too sweet. If you prefer a pretty sweet old fashioned like some bars make, you'll maybe want to up the amount of syrup a bit. Bottle says to refrigerate after opening so that's what I did. You can't go wrong with this product if you like old fashioneds.

if there's one drink that i'm picky with, its definitely my old fashioned's. i've tried about 5 different mixes now, and most of them are way too sweet and don't even taste like old fashioned's. I could definitely drink these when i don't want to get everything out to make from scratch. it's not hard to make them from scratch by any means, but sometimes i'm just too tired to get everything out after a long week. the only thing i add to this mix other than my whiskey is luxardo cherries. i gotta have my cherries. i usually also add about a teaspoon of the cherry juice as well. if i'm going to use a premade mix, its gotta be this one.

A friend loves drinking old fashioned, but considering all ingredients I would need to buy to prepare them the traditional way (and the fact that I prefer other drinks), I wasn’t going to get them just to be able to offer it at home. Got this syrup and it makes so easy to prepare the drink, spending just a portion of the time, and with a result that resembles very well the drink done in the traditional way. I would definitely recommend for those who, like me, want to be able to offer the drink without all the hassle.

I am normally not a fan of pre-mixed cocktail syrups, and typically make my own old-fashioned using simple syrup and different kinds of bitters, sometimes even with a Luxardo cherry.I decided to give this syrup a try, and I have to say it exceeded my expectations. It can't get any easier than this, just add your favorite bourbon (or even Scotch) and that's it. One thing I really like is the all-natural organic ingredients. The balance of the Demerara sugar with the spices and bitters is fantastic. Of course, you want to complement it with a really nice whiskey, and the end result is surprisingly good! My wife and I loved the cocktails made using this syrup. If you want to make it a bit sweeter, just add a little more syrup to taste.I really recommend the Old Fashioned Syrup by Cocktail Punk!
