I have lots of solar lights in the garden - these look simply fab (no charging panel on show - you simply plonk them in day/sunlight and they charge)... once the sun has set, they flicker and glow romantically and actually give off a fair amount of light - they are very lightweight and the same size as church candles (three different in one set, in my case) So impressed I ended up buying two sets of these lovely lights. NOTE: they work with a rechargeable battery so, if they ever do stop working (and they've been glowing for months now) I'd replace the battery. They are water proof but shouldn't sit in water (as you can remove the base to turn them off / replace the battery). These are the first lights to come on at dusk and the last to switch off at dawn (were still on at 6am the morning after a fairly overcast day in May!) Deffo recommend

Got them to replace real candles on my table decoration, look wonderful, my 4 year old Granddaughter quickly worked out how to use remote, so very easy to use better than the real thing

I bought these fake candles for Halloween, thinking they’d add a bit of spooky ambience without setting fire to the curtains, and let me tell you, they’ve delivered. Yes, they take two AA batteries (not included, because of course not, it’s the law of the universe that battery powered things never actually come with batteries), but once you’ve popped them in, they light up like a séance hosted by IKEA. I’ll be honest, no one’s mistaking these for real candles. You’re not going to fool a dinner guest into thinking you’ve gone full Gothic romance, but who cares? They flicker beautifully, they glow just the right shade of “mystical,” and best of all, they won’t melt, smoke, or set your cat ablaze. I set them up with the pumpkins, and they looked fab, moody lighting, no smoke, no melted wax, and no small fires. It's all over now, so I’m now using them on my bath. Nothing like lying there in the bubbles, surrounded by little faux flames, feeling like a witch queen in a plastic spa. And here’s the best bit, THEY COME WITH A REMOTE. That’s right. You can turn them on and off from across the room! Wowzers! You can even set timers. Because we're all living in the future, controlling candlelight like a budget Bond villain in fluffy pyjamas. All in all: 🕯️ They look great. 🔋 They don’t need matches. 🧙‍♀️ They make me feel powerful. 🛁 And they’ve turned my bathroom into a low-effort, high drama sanctuary. Would absolutely buy again, because nothing says “grown-up” like battery-operated candles that make you feel like you’re in a horror movie and a bubble bath ad at the same time.

After replacing battery candles annually due to them either melting in the heat or not working due to water getting in I thought I'd try these... as an outside candle, they are perfect, and come on each evening without needing a remote control. Amazing value for money and they even work when kept in a lantern.

The candles look fine, the flickering is good and they fit in with what I needed. However the remote is like a slab of stone that does nothing whatsoever and is utterly useless. If anyone has a magic solution please share.
